Springfield checking in. Just bought the one house in my development with a carport instead of a garage, but that's fine because I got it cheap (from family) and I can build it however I want.
Anyone else in fairfax county build a new garage recently?

Anyone else interested in hosting a GTG?

Hi All!
R1chy invited me over. We share a common interest in the Saturn Sky. I am also a big motorcycle nut, particularly BMW. In the next few weeks, if all goes well, I will be the proud co-owner of this fine place:

Empty now, but I have plans, and would not mind hosting a GTG some time this summer.
Anyhow, glad to meet all of you!

Just found this too...i am in woodbridge with my single car garage and just added a pepboys car port Temporarly to try to keep stuff dry!!!...check my pics thou, because my buddy and every friday nite has a 13 bay garage we build and play in Manassas..we are Twisted Racing so some might know of us...I am Addicted to this site!!!
in the ghetto, marumsco village...off Horner Rd. behind Kilby Elementry...I have 3 1971 datsun pickups i mess with, motorcycle and 4wheelers...we mess with mostly old muscle cars at the shop...

Thanks guys. It was one step and found treasure or sweet deal at a time. I am done working on the shop and going hammer and tong at the race car now. This weekend is out for me but I bet we can make some Sat afternoon work for the Nova gang. I'll supply the beer.
Jim,
How big is the garage?
Are you building a 911 to race SCCA? ....
Are you building a 911 to race SCCA? I'm new to the site but I raced for over 35 years and now my son has been racing for 15 years. He is building a house with a separate race garage just off rt.66 and Glebe Road. Should be finished in about 6 to 8 weeks. We will also have a lift but it will take years to make our garage like yours. Right now we are operating out of a garage in Bluemont area of Arlington about 2 miles from the new house. We also have a 28' enclosed trailer, golf cart and a 2004 Ford 250 crew super duty diesel truck. We are racing a Nissan 350Z in the SCCA T3 class and finished 3rd at the Road America runoffs last September. It would be nice to get together some weekend. The present garage is heated and last weekend we took out the differential to send back to the manufacturer to have them check it out. The new garage will have a large storage room to store the larger stuff we seem to accumulate.
