Its mine. Have no idea what the capacity is. Lifts up one side of a toyota tacoma with no trouble. The 2 speed pump makes that kind of nice. Goes up fast until you contact the jacking point on the vehicle, goes slow thereafter. Pretty much normal.

Here is mine, came out of Bob Singer Ford in Columbus, OH when they shut down in the mid-70s. It is a Weaver WA-72 2 ton. Rebuilt it when I got it 2 years ago with parts from a forum member here and Ohio Hydraulic out of Columbus.

I wonder what the marketing spin was by including "BOY" in the model?

I bought a new Hein Werner in the '70's and is an "OH BOY" model.

I'm with you on that. I still own my mid 70's OH BOY model. It's a ton and quarter though. I've put it through it's paces over the years.

My first vintage jack. Brass plate has printed on it: Walker Hydraulic Roll-A-Car 770 series B. Base color on main body looks like it used to be dark blue. Handle apears to have always been red. The ram needs to be re-sealed. I plan to strip it down to bare metal and refinish it to as new condition. Where can I find information and rebuild parts for this jack?

Was this the one FS on KSL in Sugarhouse, for $60?

It looks better in your pics.

I have the same thing with the same problem.
According to Hiball, who has a kit, you can do it yourself.
PM him.

Yes it was! I got it for $45.00 though. I took it to work and used a steam cleaner to get most of the crud off of it. Leaks like a sieve and will require a full reconditioning. Definately a 10 on the cool old stuff chart.

Gotta find what that $15.00 jack I bought years ago really is. It don't pump up too good and I kept it under the bench.

That's a real jewel of a jack......Not many of those around.......I rebuilt one about 20 yrs ago for a customer at cost with the deal he'd sell it to me if he ever sold it......the shop closed it's doors and someone else ended up with it....:dunno:

Maybe if you're lucky someone will have info on it but that thing is very old......very rare find....

Very few orings.....mostly leather piston cups, v-packings, square packing rings....

A trouble spot would be removing the tank nut to expose the inner reservoir to cleanse the crud out of the tank.....it takes a special threaded tool to remove the tank nut with a big wrench.......the rest can be taken apart with normal spanner wrenches and hand tools.....

Lathe for polishing and whip-sander for housing bores is helpfull also

A solvent tank (mineral spirits or kero) will help with housekeeping before reassembly......

Be carefull with removing and replacing the ball valves as this is a very sensitive spot......if there is trouble the jack won't work....

Can anyone direct me to where I can find information or pictures of what the correct color scheme on the old Walker Roll-A-Car 770 floor jack that I just bought should be?

Hi guys,

Anyone recognize this jack and have an idea as to to its lifting capacity, height of lift, weight and dimensions - I may have to get it in the car myself. Looking at the photo there is a rather large cylinder and reservoir.

I'm contemplating driving out to check on a CL ad that basically has no info. and trying to decide if it is worth the effort. I did get a response - it wasn't sketchy - just uninformed.

Any idea as to what a fair offer would be assuming it works?

Thanks much.

Hard to tell from the Small Picture, Looks like a Walker 780 Series which is a 10 Ton. Probably weighs around 300lbs+, Probably closer to 400. Break.com comes to mind watching you put it in your Car by yourself.

Here are my two old Jacks. The blackhawk works and it is my main Jack. The walker doesn't lift and will be getting a rebuild sometime in the near future.

Its very cool to see these two vintage jacks side by side. Is the Walker a 3 Ton or 4 Ton unit? I believe a Walker 4 Ton unit and the Blackhawk S-4 have similar specs on paper. After you get your Walker up to snuff, it would be interesting to see an actual operational comparison between these vintage beauties.

Too bad you weren't closer. All I really care is that someone with a bigger shop would make sure it got refurished. I have no desire to sell it cheap around here. It would just end up in the scrap yard.

KO

I'd love to have it if you still have it, I've wanted a vintage jack to restore for a while, but never could find any near Kansas City, where I just moved from.

The Walker is a 4 Ton unit so it would make it comparable to an S4. You gave me something to think about and play with when I get both of these guys rebuilt.

I attached a couple more pictures. One picture of the Jack's side by side again and one picture of the pump on the walker Jack. Unfortunately the sticker took some damage.

Hi Guys! I'm new to this forum. Was told about it by a guy calling today about an old floor jack I have for sale on Craigslist. It is one I wanted to rebuild, but can't find parts for. I was wondering about this 'Hiball' I keep reading about. How do I get in touch with this individual? Also, this jack doesn't have any markings on it, and under all the nasties, it appears to be blue. And it sorta looks like the green one in the back of the picture on the first page of this thread showing the old jack, and the new red and white paintjob. I'll check back later and keep reading the posts. Cool forum, everyone! Lukus

I dont need it. If I had money to burn I'd nab it for a better price. I'm always looking on CL for old jacks or boxes

Whatsoever you think would be a better price?

that rod is the lock and release. you can see the lever in the shadow. you push it down to lock it in UP mode. then when you squeeze it it lets it down.

Hello Ryan,

Just discovered this site; I have a Walker J-134 floor jack (I believe it's a 1957).

It was used by my Dad at his employer's shop in Houston for many years. When he retired, they gave it to him--by this time it was a leaky mess with the bottom of the tank almost worn through. I brought it to a hydraulic jack shop in Austin and had them rebuild it (that was around 1995).

The one issue the jack has had (and getting worse as time and use goes on) is that it will "creep down". Could you point me in the right direction as to how I can remedy this fault? The jack is terrific other than that.

Thanx in advance.

All these jacks are nice and this thread has brought many 1st-time posters looking for information and seeing the art presented by the Walker (and other) jacks. My husband (BB767) has utilized Hiball's advice, skills and parts with his vintage Walkers. Hiball did wonderful repair jobs for BB767.

To contact Hiball easily, just click on his name and send a PM. He's a wealth of information. He's always watching the forum for info about jacks. All you have to do is contact him.

Between pages 10-88 on BB767's Restored 1930's Auto Shop thread, there are many pictures, including advertising about the different models that may e helpful to some of you who are looking for original colors. Every once in a while we see another one needing a new home. We've resisted...so far. We can only take in so many "orphans" (having a difficult time not adopting more anvils, too!).
