I picked up a S-K Wanye 3870 last week. I already had a new 3870 but I liked this one too much to pass up. It's interesting to see the small differences between the two. The Wayne one has much aggressive knurling (which I like better) and is slightly heavier. The newer S-K one has better chrome and is more polished. The Wayne one isn't polished smooth and can see forging marks.
I tried a DT80 I had laying around but I prefer the original mechanism. Unlike the newer S-K with the DT80, the back drag was too high. The DT80 I had laying around was defective but I halfway fixed it. I could maybe try breaking it in, but I don't plan on using this ratchet as much as the other.
Last thing, getting the snap ring compressed is 10x harder on the Wayne than the other.
