Here is a different Worth vise not in the spreadsheet. A #7, built like a Cole. This Worth was in Compton, Ca. Sorry don’t have more, away from my PC, so grabbing pix from the FB post a bit dodgy.

Custom Fab Vise. Hall H. M. No Spec:s. From the owner.

This vise came out of my family’s machine shop that dates back to 1924. I wish I had info on it but unfortunately my dad and grandfather are both passed.

What a beast! I really like the cross pin nut with the Gitts oiler, that's a great design for a fabbed vise.

I have another mystery vise with a horn. No markings from the builder. Has anyone seen one like it? 4" jaws that opens to 5-1/2" and weights 60lbs.

Added new jaws, built a new meatball and Silver Soldered it to a newer spindle. Made a handle and new lockdown. Tightened the nut and welded some wear points underneath the Dynamic slide area. Works like a new vise.
Any details you can share on the wear point mods you did for the dynamic slide? I have a vise that could use something similar.

KMS: The specs for Yost Toolmakers' Universal Double Swivel Vises models D through I are in this 1955 catalog cut and are already in the Vise Spreadsheet. Model J was the "Air Operated version. Jaw width - 4", Jaw opens - 6", Weight - 90 lbs. approximately. I don't have a date for its catalog cut.

Massey # 136. 6" jaws, no other spec:s.

That's an interesting looking Massey vise. It looks all early Morgan to me. I'd bet that's a transition vise from the Massey Vise Co to the Morgan Vise Co. around 1920.

Anyway, I did find some 1917 catalog specs for that model, but I'm pretty sure it's private labeled vises made for Massey by the Rock Island Mfg. Co., not like the vise in your photo.

I'm amazed at the amount of variations in castings with vise manufacturers over their company's lifespan.

Wow look at that air operated Yost Double Swivel-er. Super rare. Gonna be looking out for that one. I use the Yost G Double Swivel-er in my vise shed. Love it.

Thanks Fierljeppen for the Massey cat page. I agree that the #136 is a transition model since it has replaceable jaws for one reason.

Thanks guys for your help.

Dr. SCott I may have 2 new for the Spreadsheet? I could not find either of these (no PEXTO or "Peck Stowe..." and none of the Germans mapped (Germany COO is a guess admittedly, but BlueBolt claimed he had one...)

Outlawmws that vise is probably German, I had a very similar one but there was a 4 in the diamond instead of a 3. It had a decal that if I remember correctly had GMB or GMBH on it.n

PEXTO and an unknown maker with "3" cast in (not 3" (2-3/4" jaws more like?)
The blue vise has no maker or COO, But I suspected EU origin (No chrome anywhere, even though the paint leans me to Japan.) and BB mentioned his was marked Germany on a paper tag (missing on mine)

PEXTO - Made in USA - 2-1/2" jaws, 2" opening 6 Lbs
"German" 2-2/3" Jaws, 2" opening (stopped by a keeper on the main screw) 4.25 lbs

DOUBLE - A Products
Ann Arbor, MI 1934-1983
Some Double - A products were rebadged and sold by Sears' Companion, Dunlap, and Craftsman lines (with the prefix of 109).

A 1934 ad shows only a 6" woodworkers vise.

1936 catalog shows:
No. 40 - 1 3/4" jaws 2 lbs.
No. 50 - 2" jaws 3 lbs.
No. 80 - 3 inch jaws 6 lbs.
No. 100 - 6" Woodworkers' vise

1937 (January) catalog Same as 1936

1937 (August) catalog shows many changes
No. 40v - 2" jaws 2 lbs
No. 50v - 2 1/2" jaws 5 lbs
No. 80v - Utility Mechanics vise 3" jaws 9 lbs
No. 110 - 5" Woodworkers' vise
No. 1000 - 7" Cabinet Makers' vise 8 lbs.

Found the little German vise I had that Outlawmws mentioned, the decal says W.H.B. , someone figured out what those initials stood for, still searching for that info.

REDEDA Vices
British made vices. The all steel bench models had surprisingly small jaws. If their "British made" table vice models look familiar, bear in mind that STANLEY WORKS have been in Britain for nearly 100 years.

Late edit: One more REDEDA - a pattern vice.
