Costco has good prices on all of the New Age cabinets. Shipping and delivery included. Hopefully they still carry them in May when I am ready to buy.

You can purchase NewAge cabinet on sale any time you want. NewAge doesn't allow distributors to show sale prices on items that are not part of their monthly sales.

Go to our website and ask for a quote. I'll send you an invoice you can purchase from. Sale prices at set are 12 to 13% over cost. After 3% credit card processing. I'm making about 10%.

Costco gets what's call a club price. The sets are not part of the distributors list of cabinet sets. They usually sell at my cost. That's usually 50 to 100 buck less than I can sell at.

Costco shows about 10 sets a month. As a distributor I have all the sets available from NewAge on my website.

Costco will charge tax on your purchase. I don't have to charge taxes to states that don't have a NewAge warehouse.

NewAge cabinets ship free of charge no matter where you purchase them. All the warehousing and shipping is handled by NewAge, no matter who you purchase from.

I bought these two Made in Canada storage cabinets for $350 for the pair. I think this was on the high end of pricing, but I had to have them. To offset the higher price, I bought four of these 27 drawer cabinets and made more than enough to cover the cost of the grey cabinets. I am on the look-out for more matching grey cabinets.

I bought this cabinet this morning for $35. The seller has more of them. I said I will take them all, but only this one today. He lives near the top of a mountain east of Mission, BC.
The snow in his driveway was 12 inches deep and heavy from melting. I put my truck in 4X4 and backed around the sellers work-shop and loaded off the back deck. I was more than a little uncomfortable about the hundreds of Grizzly Bear tracks in the snow. The local wild-life control has posted a bear caution ever kilometer. The Sign suggests, WATCH OUT FOR BEARS. Someone added "AND MY WIFE" under the word BEAR.

Repurposed office cabinets bought for a total of $300 and painted using Rustoleum shot through the HF airless HVLP unit (my first attempt at spraying using something other than a rattle can.)

If you were closer - I could help you out with the cabinets..........

They do make for great parts, hardware, tool and widget storage!

They look great. Tell me about the storage unit above the cabinets. I cannot tell if they are plastic or metal. What are they and how much can they hold? I want to add some overhead storage and this looks like what I need.

Thanks!

And here are my two double row drawer sectionals purchased from the local Universities Geology dept. I keep my metal drops in these so I can easily locate metal for various projects.

I built mine from 1/2" plywood and 2x4's.
These are replacing floor to ceiling open shelving. Much nicer looking, IMO, and by making them 6" deeper than the shelves, I was able to add a few square feet of storage while opening up the floor space underneath.
Left side cabinet is 8'X4'X2' and right one is 4'X4'X2'.
Have a similar one across the front of the garage 12'X30"X18".
Haven't decided on painting them or staining them yet.

These are Fleximounts, metal 4x8 and 3x8, 600lbs capacity. Purchased in white when I thought we would end up with regular cabinets, should have bought the black version obviously. Also make them in sizes that will fit above the garage door for wood and metal stock that doesn't need a lot of height which will probably be my next project.

This is the new project center from NewAge Products. Two door cabinet for large products, five 38" wide tool drawers more than enough for brushes, towels and tools. Roll it out to driveway or around the shop, take your stuff to where the work is located.

Included is a 62" worktop a 24'" wide 2 door base cabinet and a 38" wide tool cabinet. The project center is packed inside a 42" wide locker cabinet and sells for 1059.99.:beer:

Just received my Pro 3.0 that I ordered from John. Great people to deal with. They are all that they say they are. Nothing but quality from top to bottom. If you are thinking about a purchasing some new cabinets, do your self a favor and go through John. I will post photos once they are installed. We are finishing up the construction of the house and shop at this time.

Wow! Lots of nice, expensive, cheap, DIY, purchased, re-purposed, and useful cabinets -- wish I had gotten to this thread earlier in "furnishing" my workshop.

Just to participate, here are some re-purposed cabinets I obtained when we bought a piece of property that came with a "reever house", as they call it around here. We demolished the reever house to build our house, but there were come cabinets I thought I could use in the workshop.

Reever house: iPad 7-12-15 408.jpg
Cabinets with potential? iPad 7-12-15 468.jpg
Removed and being readied: cabinets2.jpg
Installed in workshop: IMG_0007.jpg

Generally, I've been pleased although due to the arrangement in the reever house, the doors open backwards for my current positioning!! Also, even after a few years, they smell like cigarette smoke when I open them on a humid day. . . .

But they have served the purpose. The counter top was replaced with 1/4" hardboard, which worked well.

In the meantime, a few kitchen cabinet doors were left over from the house build -- the cabinet guy didn't like the way they closed!! So, they were also re-purposed, so to speak, for garage cabinets. The shelves and sides were constructed from 1X12 shelving and pocket screws, plus some 1X4 were used for facings.

IMG_8535.jpg

Bottom line, I'm not sure I can claim inexpensive cabinets since the property was not cheap AND The Wife managed to design a pretty expensive kitchen layout.

Is this the Harbor Freight sprayer you’re talking about? I saw someone on Youtube posted a video of a paint job he did with one and it appeared to turn out very well. Their website says it works with stains, varnishes and latex. I wasn’t sure if a heavy enamel like Rustoleum would work through it. Did you have to thin it much/or at all? Was it a mess to clean up the unit?

Yes, it was the HF Airless HVLP unit I used.

It's been a while now but I believe I settled on thinning at 80/20 and added an ounce of Valspar 4625 hardener per quart (nasty stuff that needs a very good respirator and adequate ventilation.) I'd say the results are a solid 5 footer, with some runs visible when you view close up but nothing crazy. One thing I learned the hard way is that you want to shoot the doors laying horizontally to promote proper flow post spray, but as soon as practical you should hang them vertically to dry to minimize dust/hair etc landing on the surface. It'll still happen but much less than if you leave them drying horizontally.

So far the paint has held up to a year of steady use and I'm beyond happy with the outcome considering I was in for a total of about $450 for 3 lockers and 3 horizontal drawers including paint and the sprayer. The sprayer internals clean up pretty easily by running mineral spirits through it after each use but the overspray on the unit itself is a reminder that I shot the doors in red :)

My storage cabinets look very much like old refrigerators, the one with the suspect door seal has a hasp and staple to keep the door closed, the other relies on the magnetic seal. Since I live beside the ocean they do a great job of keeping things dry and mostly rust free.

I was tired of all the papers, and various **** on my long bench, so I finally put together a more dedicated space, plus added much needed shelves and cabinet space.

A cheap unfinished base and upper cabinet, and 4 sheets of 3/4" ply.

I added a power strip and some user cab light strip. still need to trim it out, but Simple and effective.

Thanks! I used the sandeply grade plywood that homedepot sells along with pine for all the 1x pieces. The sandeply is about $10 cheaper a sheet for 3/4 than birch and having never built cabinets before I figured I'd start with something a little cheaper in case I totally bombed the build! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out and plan to build a few more for other walls and then I will pull everything down and outside to paint everything at once and then paint the walls when they are bare but that needs to wait till it's warm out.

Re: Garage Cabinets and Storage

My storage cabinets run the gamut from industrial stuff to shop built cabinets. Here’s one I built in the 80’s to store woodworking tools. Still holding up since then!IMG_6929.jpg

Re: Garage Cabinets and Storage

After researching all the brands, i decided on Lista for my workbench/tool box.

You missed a spot! There's a huge black void on the wall- it probably needs a cabinet there!

Don't tell me that's a TV- because if it is that ain't a garage!!! Just sayin'!

Looks awesome. Can you post some thoughts about them? How do the drawers feel? How are the depth and sizes? It seems that the deep drawer is too deep but the shallow drawer won't work for standing sockets up.
