Whats your worklight setup? Halogen vs. LED?

I currently have 2 portable halogen worklights with ~500 watt bulbs. I thought they would be fine but do not like the heat output vs LED. Thats why I ordered the Snap_on 2000 LED worklight for about $44 online.

I am pretty excited to be saving power and have increased comfort when I get close to light vs. the halogens.

Any other good LED lights I should look for? Like underhood lights or stick lights?

I threw all my halogens in a pile and they are going to the swap meet next time I go. I frikin hate those things! Always break, always flop over from weight, always hot, etc.

Snap On lights are good. I have the little one from Lowes for ~$20. Worth every penny and you can use it in a 12v car also.

But lately I use my M18 LED flood light.

I have the HF underhood light, ~$29 IIRC, it's meh compared to the SO variety, but is perfect for throwing under a vehicle just to light up the area to see your tools etc. Good ambient light ya dig.

I have a Makita LED worklight that is part of the Makita 18V line. I've come to rely on it, as it runs cool, lasts a long time on the 1.5 and 3.0 AH batteries, and can be twisted to get the light just where you want it.

I don't think I'll ever buy another halogen worklight, or a CFL one, for that matter.
