With this cold and wet spring let’s hope the wildfires will be minimal this year.
Your shop and property are looking great! Thanks for the update.

The company said they would have to pour a self leveling material over the 1,450 sq. ft. area and they were not willing to do that as they specialized in the epoxy floor coatings and not concrete repair. I may see if I can find someone that will.

However, since cost is an issue, I am trying to figure out if I can use rigid tiles or even the PVC tiles over the pock marks or if anyone has experience doing that. Maybe even the larger roll out mats but I worry they would eventually become wavy from all the pock marks.

Thanks for all suggestions!
How about race deck tiles, that is what I did in my garage and I love them. I used the free flow ones, but they have different choices.

Damn. Sorry to hear about your losses and the related stress. I drive 126 quite often for work and the damage is heartbreaking. Glad you're back on your feet and getting things finished out!

Ok, we have made quite a bit of progress since the last post. We are now getting painfully close to finishing.

Exterior, painted, new concrete on backside poured, cedar beams sealed, RV hookups complete.
*********Need to re-hang drains and install rain chain. Need to buld the "dog house" for my air compressor and generator.

Garage doors being installed as I type this.

*Kitchen, flooring in, cabinets in, HVAC is complete.
*Bedroom, flooring in, closet complete and lined with cedar, HVAC in.
*Bathroom, flooring in, cabinets in, shower tiled now
******** waiting for shower door.
*Work out room, flooring in, HVAC complete, almost ready for equipment.
*Mancave, floor is in, HVAC in, painted, and beams sealed.
*********Ready for me to make a "feature" wall with the left over wood we milled and begin building my stereo cabinet.

Garage shop, gas heaters installed and tested, all lights in, garage doors going in. ***********Will need to touch up paint and build a staircase to the upper level storage area.
**********Need to decide on a car lift, thinking about a 4 post lift.

(pictures in the posts below).

I just realized that today is the 4th year anniversary of starting this thread. Two builds later and a lot of time and effort, as the Grateful Dead sings,

"What a long strange trip it's been"! :)

Hopefully, this building will last for a while.

That was one heck of an emotional rollercoaster.

If I recall correctly, there was a commercial for the US Military years ago that asked the question: "if someone wrote a book about your life, would anyone want to read it?"

I'd read your book.

Thanks for taking to time to post all of this!
