I got a threaded casting face plate for my Logan, I need to machine it to fit this 3 jaw plain back chuck I have had for a while. I am a little apprehensive about doing this job.
Any pointers?

I haven't seen more then one post including an atlas/craftsman 618... I got one at an auction a few years back for 80 bucks. Included a set of change gears and a pair of jacobs comutator chucks in the box... I've been searching like a ******* to find some affordable chucks for it. 1-10 spindle size is not very common.

My guess is that it's from the 40's sometime. I have a collection of old motors and starters that I was going to practice with. Mainly I was going to use this for making spacers, fasteners, little sleeves, things like that.

Laundrew; nice Monarch and a 1974 ish Kombi?
Are they all paper weights? Non of them have chips on them and are immaculate...
All real pretty though.![]()

You ain't just a woofin! That's a bunch of tooling for sure. Collet closer too?

My 1942 Monarch 10EE, which is currently undergoing a motor refit.
Be well...
Possibly the nicest lathe I have ever seen is owned by a buddy of mine Dan W. Very good guy who just happens to have one heck of an old machine collection.
Hope he doesn't mind me posting his machine, but it is just too nice not to.
