Do you have close up photo of your Modine HD heater? Just curious what mounting brackets were utilized. When my house was built, the contractor used generic green shelving brackets, with all-thread, which looks cheaply mounted.

We ended up going with the mocha color. We had 1500 square feet to cover, and it was quite the task. Interestingly, it is advertised that only one coat is needed to get the proper results. We put down the first coat and it looked like total ****. I called the manufacturer, sent them pictures and copies of receipts and they provided me with enough product to put on a 2nd coat. That did the trick and the floor turned out great.

We ended putting some non-slip gritty texture into the polycuramine mix to prevent it from getting too slippery when ice from the vehicles melts off onto the floor. I have a bunch of photos from when we only had the one coat on the floor if anyone is interested. It really did look like total ****, and we were worried that we would be stuck with it, or having to buy a lot more of those kits which are not cheap! But to rustoleums credit, they stood by their product and after sending them our receipts and photos they sent us enough product to get another coat on.

My brother's dog Parker approves!!

Hello from G-town! Looks good but I have never seen a product that will hold up to Wisconsin winters (even pro applied) with all the salt they use on the roads. The salt eats away at the floor finish and over time it fails. Good luck. Jim

Regarding access to our upper level.... That is an interesting story. The all-knowing local government in my neck of the woods would only allow me to have an attic-style pull down type of staircase for me to access my garage. Apparently they feel it necessary to require this to discourage people from turning their garage into living space. So that is what we put up. Here is the picture of said staircase

You're going to install real stairs and live up there once the inspections are over, right? :)

What's the deal on the K-10? Looks way too clean to be original and live in Wisconsin.

So after the inspector came and gave us occupancy, we have considered putting in an actual staircase. I mean, besides the huge pain in the *** to move things up and down pull down stairs, and the risk of injury going up and down said pull-down access stairs, I thought this was America and people should be able to do what they want?

That being said, if we were to do some remodeling on the stairs, perhaps the process would look something like this?

yah, the pickup is a 1987 c10 i found in georgia about 3-4 years ago. No way it would look that good if it had been driven in wisco for 25 + years!!

I appreciate that photo, I've already been able to find that exact mounting bracket via Google. You can see the cheap install mounting system the contractor utilized.

At this point in the build we were finally able to start using the garage for vehicles, as well as storage on the ground floor while the upper level was being finished. Great timing too, because it was starting to get cold outside and scraping ice off the windshield every morning is not fun.

Also, its great to see all the cheese heads on this site!

OK... Me, too... Hey from Milwaukee.

Love the garage.

BTW: I may have missed it, but... Did you answer the question?
What type of siding did you use?

Yay Wisconsin! Fish fry for lunch today, some Spotted Cow later and a stop at the bubbler on the way out from work.

I hope that Supaflytnt doesn't mind, but I think he may have inadvertently created the Wisconsin sub-thread, lol! I'm actually surprised how many Wisconsin members are registered here, very cool!
