)GEE !!
I think I'll have to 'Steal' that one for my shop
(just home from work now, the missus has gone out & the kids seem to be fending for them selves........me, I found some left overs, a scotch and am now pondering my lonley existance as a sole business opperator)

By the way ......You are welcome to copy the trading hours.
Eddie Ford gave me a copy years ago.
) That makes sence.
Eddie is a great bloke & is always keen to help if he can (I know he has done for me)
By the way, did you see Ron's right up in the August issue of ASR, I for some reason didn't recieve it (I found out about it today & never realised I didn't have the mag)
He has done a segment on shrinking. He gave my dics a good plug (must have been the dinner we had last time he was out.................yes...in Castlemiane) Just kidding, he's a good friend.
So many people are prepaired to help out in this industry if they can. Eddie is one of those people.
No work on the shop truck I'm afraid, though I will be happy to see the paper work come back as it will be a month since I submitted it![]()

I'll organise an up date shortly.
I had a quiet day and went looking for some old topics here on the forum and decided it was time you showed us some more Dropped my 9" Grinder right onto the edge of the Shrinking Disc (dunno where I can get a new one do ya :wink: )
I forgot my wallet...........so no lunch!
No Lunch so more time to work on that project. It is Looking good.(I have recently posted the re-start of the build on another forum)

Wow. Amazing work. What did you use to cut the cab up with? Those are some nice straight cuts!
Very nice work.
................but I dunno bout amaizing

Just found this thread. I just started on my first project truck ('54 F-100) and after looking at your work, I'm convinced I know absolutely nothing!!
Can you give some background on what "metal finishing" entails?
Looking forward to following this thread closely!!![]()

)

)Gee,
That's something that JUST can't be explained here
There is soooo much to it, I'm not sure where to begin.
Good to see you found it to update it

What methods do you use when working your metal so that you are not requireing the use of filler?
Has anyone ever gone to the anual Moab car show? Some guy brings a sweet Diamond-T crew cab one car hauler most every year, what a truck might I say.
Great build!! I may have missed it, but are you going to square the window frame of the rear doors to make it look more like a production crew cab or are you going to leave the original door lines?
I like the guages and the wheels look good too! Are you going to have a normal pickup bed or make it into a flat bed?
Man, this is one build I will have to watch!
) & plan to only use the floor pan & tailgate hinges & latches, though the handle will end up on the inside, out of sight.What methods do you use when working your metal so that you are not requireing the use of filler?

Rocket,
Good to see you found it to update it
![]()
Rocket will not answer that so I will have to direct you to his web site.
http://rodsandrelics.com.au/site/index.php as that will tell you more.
I have seen it on the net somewhere.
![]()
Is this it ?
Yep!
Thats the goSquared rear doors & the roof gutter will also run straight through instead os how it looks atm.
While there will be no chop on it, I will actually be raising the 'B' pillars.
This is due to the needing a curve to match the original door tops & of course the main roof.
I have a Hilux King Cab (or extra cab for those who speak a different lingo) & plan to only use the floor pan & tailgate hinges & latches, though the handle will end up on the inside, out of sight.
I will be making new skins all round for the tub, so it will end up as a 'Style Side' tub with about 1/2 size rear fenders.
Like an Amercian Pickup Bed, but in a style side if you can get that.

Got it man!Just keep up the updates! Like most guys on here, I have thought about doing the same thing (i.e. making a crew cab truck), just haven't made it there....YET!

)
Now I have to ask again, Did you not plan this to be a crewcab ?Errrrrrrrrrrrr YES(why do you ask??
)
