Ernst. They have grippy little nubs to hold the wrenches in. You can also get reversed models so you can stagger wrenches for maximum space utilization. Once you're above 22mm or so, the black HF wrench holder works well. It may scuff the chrome a little, but it holds my 32mm wrench just fine.

I've got two Ernst wracks and like them a lot. The Hi-Viz one here has no grips to hold them, the black one holds the wrenches better, but my box is pretty stationary so both work well.

I have a mixture of them and they are all about the same quality. The bigger one hold from 1/4 to 1 1/4

I have the gripper style and like them a lot. They hold everything in place with out being difficult to remove the wrench

1/4”-1 1/8” and 7MM-21mm fit nicely, don’t mind the gaps in the Gearwrench sets.

Whenever possible I try to keep them in the original packaging. However I know I have tons that the packages got pitched likely before I was born. In that case the Ernest aren't bad. This is the one I have.

I prefer something with a bit of retention but if you have bulky wrenches like Craftsman they're great. Otherwise I like the Hansen Global ones, I've grabbed a couple off Amazon and wow, they're even cheaper now. Maybe I should order a couple more just in case. LOL

I settled on the Kobalt wrench racks. They are pretty low profile and allow me to use a shallower drawer. I do wish they had a reverse pattern set though. I tried the Ernst which does have a reverse pattern set. They were to tall and I did not like they way they held my wrenches compared to the Kobalts. The Snap on versions look pretty good but, I've not tried them in my own box.

At work my combos and stubbies are on generic wrench holders, the rest are more occasional use so they're stored in rolls to save space. At home tekton wrenches come in an ernst style holder so my main wrenches are in those and the rest that I've collected over the years get tossed in a portable toolbox or a 5 gallon bucket

I use the Snap-on KRA rails. I tried others, but none hold as well, get the angle and spacing right, and pack as many wrenches into the space as the KRA's do. Here's a thread I started on them when I got them:

I got a spring from ace, stretched it out, and cut to size. Works great for less than $2. I haven't done one for my ratchet wrenches yet though so ignore those.

Everyday wrenches hang on the end of the bench, like this. Others are in small toolbox drawers and you go fishing.

I think I was the only guy in the Pro Stock Pits wrenching with Craftsman, well organized Craftsman.

Thank you guys...a labor of love...and a touch of OCD.

I would market them but they are Wrench Set specific. Takes 10 times as long to design them as it takes to make them. Have to measure every Wrench...

I have posted all these before on here in different threads...but I did my Sockets too...some day I'll get around to doing my Screw Drivers.

Looks like I'm in the minority, but I just use the cheap-o Princess Auto (think HF) thin metal organizers. My box doesn't move so I don't have to worry about movement. They do the job just fine. For my uses I can't see getting too spendy because I'm not sure how much of an advantage nicer ones would even be.

They are a definite upgrade from the holders the wrenches come in, as they seem to take up a lot less space. The big chunky plastic ones they come in have the wrenches spread more and laying more flat for "display purposes" it seems, but for packing them into the box the little thin metal organizers are pretty dense.

Save yourself the headache the Snap On KRA15 is the way to go, holds all types of wrenches and is fully customizable by cutting down. They also look the cleanest and it only took 3 of them (I believe $9 each from Snap On website free shipping for under $500) to do all my wrenches metric and SAE for a HF 56inch box.

Thank you for sharing this! I’ve been looking for wrench racks that would hold my raised panel Craftsman’s besides the black ones they sell at Sears. Those only goes up to 18mm or 7/8. I’m OCD and a wrench rack should hold 1/4” to 1” and 7-19mm. The Hansen racks worked great for my Carlyle’s, but didn’t work for the raised panels because of the width of the raised panel haha

Might have to give that a try. Moved into a 44" Homak box from a service truck, so getting used to not having wrenches in rolls.

So for the wrenches I used two of the Harbor Freight Wrench Organizers and cut them into pieces for use. I got the organizers at a garage sale for $1 a piece so I wasn't too worried about cutting them up. The ratcheting SK's were birthday present. They are amazing and I'm asking the metric set to replace my Gear Wrench set this birthday.

Mine are a mix of Ernst and some generic racks from Amazon. This is the metric drawer. I will be removing or cutting down the middle rack with the ratcheting wrenches. The Wrightgrip sets are new and changed the layout of the drawers.

I like the Ernst wrench organizers.
The gripper organizers are great. But if you work on the clock, it is slower extracting the wrench compared to the standard Ernst wrench holder which just holds them (without grip) but presents them at a nice angle so you can view the size, etc
