Wright is a fine company & I'm sure you will be pleased with your purchase.

(That does not mean you don't need to post your review, though!)

They are great combo's! I have the 18pc set that doesn't skip any sizes from 7-24mm... I work on euro cars, so I see every size, bastards can't get together and pick a standard size for anything... "I am Swedish, so I say 18mm is great! But I am Italian, and I really like 17mm.... but I am German, and I really like 19mm..." all for the same damn bolt!

Back on track, that is a great price on a great set! And a great deal! If you ever break one of those, it will be an epic story!

What's the warranty like? I have a couple sockets I picked up in a socket lot I bought at a garage sale.

the beams are very close to bonney's and bonney is the most comfortable:thumbup:

orange02ss - Given all of these positive comments on the comfort of the wrench, make sure to post a review with some macro shots of the beam width and shape after you get some time on them!

i acquired a single 13/16 Bonney wrench and can't find enough to use it on. I'm just amazed at how comfortable it is. If the Wright are close to the same feel, for the price you really couldn't go wrong.

I will answer some of these questions:

gracygrabber:

The warranty is excellent, but you might have some trouble. It is a lifetime warranty, but it is for the original owner, so you might not be so lucky if they are older than you are. In general, though, they will warranty pretty much anything no questions asked, especially if you are the original owner.

KLars1:

I will try and get some pics up tonight of the ones I have, exact same has what he got. If you go to vendor review, I have some pics there already, one is a close up, but not the greatest quality. I got a new bulb for my home shop light, so I should be able to get some better tonight.

BackTracker:

They blow them out of the water, IMHO. I would say they are on the same level as Snap On wrenches. Seriously, I boght my set over taking a free set of Snap On from my Uncle. The beams a bit thicker than the Snap On, so they don't dig in to my hand like the SO do, and Wright is the leader for the Wright Drive(AKA Flank Drive) technology. They have Wright Grip for SAE(AKA FDP) but not for metric right now. Wright combo's are also the strongest combo's on the market. Very popular in industrial applications for this reason, but they are great for cars too!

Personally, I have loved every second with mine so far. Actually, they get borrowed more than I even get to use them by other guys in the shop, and these guys all have boxes full of truck brand tools. I have even used those open ends on some flare nuts with flawless results. The closed ends just grip and rip bolts off no problem. With this 2nd gen Wright Drive on the 12pt, the contact area is just under what a side drive 6pt achieves.

The Wright handle beam is thicker and rounder at the edge than the others. This makes it one of the more comfortable wrenches to use, as other here have stated above. In comparison the Wright is also a tad bit heavier and noticeabley beefier than the Craftsman Pros, but they are not as long in length. That's the only draw back I see. I wish the Wright long patters were a bit longer (as long as the Cman Pros) for more leverage. Those particular Wrights have a chrome plating that are satin or frosted finished as opposed to a smooth high polish chrome plating. In my experience I think you'll find a bit more asthetical imperfections on the newer Wright wrenches. Just my experience.

Cman Pros are an excellent wrench for the money and they do offer good leverage, but in camparison they do tend to hurt my hands when applying leverage because of the thinner cross-section of the beam. Overall they are great wrenches though, or at least they used to be.

I tried out the new Wright wrenches, they are very comfortable! There is a big difference in the fit on the fasteners between the craftsman wrenches and the Wrights, the fit between the Wright and the snap on is the same as far as I could tell. The Wright is much more comfortable in hand than the snap on, craftsman and the SKs I have. Here are a couple close ups!

Based on the quality of the wrenches I ordered a set of 3/8 and 1/4 sockets and ratches. I am sure they are good if they are anything compared to the wrenches, ill post up when they arrive.

I have a ton of Wright wrenches and am very pleased with them. Comfortable, tight fit on fasteners, no noticeable jaw spread, and offer enough leverage for me. I have some in industrial and satin finishes. Good buy, you will be happy for years. :)

picked up a set of metric Wright flare nut wrenches. They will be replacing the craftsman pros I have. Ill post up once I get a chance to use them.

The socket sets I ordered came in and they were the cougar lower line. I sent them back, just haven't ordered the new sets yet.
