Was interested in using the 20% for a Hobart handler 140, but it still ends up $21 cheaper to go Northern tool @$479 using 50 off 250. Both with free shipping. Hmm.

How did you find the welder on Zoro's site? I searched several terms with the same thought when the 20% came out, and gave up with the assumption that they don't sell Hobart wrlders, just accessories. Do you mind sharing a link?

Thanks

Has anyone ever found welding gas cylinders on the Zoro website. I'm specifically looking for a tank for argon for my spool gun.

Just go to the Zoro site and search "welder" and the Hobart stuff will pop up. Usually searching with the most general term will work... Don't use brand names.

Just like aroslv already said, I google "zoro tools Hobart 140"
http://www.zoro.com/hobart-mig-welder-handheld-115vac-500559/i/G2971281/

Their search and filter functions are helpless in finding something you know they have. Frustrating.

For you guys google searching, put in "site:zoro.com" before whatever you are searching for. So, "site:zoro.com Hobart 140" will only return results from their site rather than showing you this thread and any other discussion about them.

Works for searching GJ as well.

site:garagejournal.com best sockets

And you can filter out results with certain words using a minus sign.

I have pretty good luck with searching on grainger, taking the grainger # and searching for that on zoro. Works for things like fittings and screws. Grainger has a nice drill down menu, where zoro has an interface dating from 1998.

For short-line manufacturers like Kreg or FastCap I'll just find one of their products then go through the rest of the MFR's products.

Zoros biggest issue is data quality. They are really, really bad at grouping like items together. That's a non-trivial problem in machine learning, but parent Grainger doesn't seem to have the issue.

Agreed, there'll be 3 listings for 15 products of the same product set, which makes it hard to find stuff.

Plus another half-dozen random unrelated items thrown in to confuse things.

awesome.. just got an email from Zoro for toilet paper...

DID YOU KNOW?

The US is the largest exporter of toilet paper in the world.
• Joseph C. Gayetty of New York, the man who introduced packaged TP to the U.S. in 1857, had his name printed on every sheet.
• It wasn't until 1935 that manufacturers were able to promise "splinter-free toilet paper." Ouch!
• In the olden days, wealthy Romans used wool, soaked in rosewater, and French royalty used lace to get the job done. Talk about fancy.
• In 1996, President Clinton passed a "Toilet Paper Tax" of 6 cents per roll.

Save 10%
use code LETSROLL

valid only on Paper Product orders through September 30 (so i'd assume it's not just for toilet paper lol)

Check Tractor Supply also. They frequently have a lot of Ingersoll Rand on sale/clearance. No clue about this model.

hmm echo CS-400-18
Zoro $394.43 - 30% = $276.10
Home Depot $299 - 10% = $269

better off at Home Depot. Anyone can get 10% off, just ask for the "customer service discount".

Only checked because i'm interested in an Echo chainsaw as well..

Also, if you don't mind a smaller top handle model, they have a few web specials going on
http://www.homedepot.com/b/ECHO/N-5...ch/Ntt-echo+chainsaw?Ntx=mode+matchall&NCNI-5

compare this CS-355-14T
Zoro http://www.zoro.com/echo-chain-saw-gas-14-in-bar-358cc-cs-355t-14/i/G9173132/
$464.79 - 30% = $325.03

Home Depot web special http://www.homedepot.com/p/ECHO-14-in-35-8-cc-Gas-Chainsaw-CS-355T-14/203820602
$349.99 - 10% = $314.99

To get 10% off an online order at HD.com, look for the "online chat" and ask the chat agent for a discount.

exactly what i was looking at Cobra. I'm aware of high pricing on Zoro. the CS--590 is a great saw per reviews and the cheapest price with 30% by a landslide.3

432 on zoro 399 at HD. no contest.

Home depot will charge you tax though (if you live in a state that charges sales tax). Some/Most people don't pay tax when ordering from Zoro.

I just found out Zoro is owned by Grainger. So if you have a Grainger in your state you will be charged tax.

That's not true. I'm in GA and there are Grainger stores here, but I've never been charged tax for any Zoro orders. They only charge sales tax if there is a physical location in your state.

Here is a quote from Zoro's website:
Zoro charges sales tax on shipments made to the following states: California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
