I already ordered, as of 12:00 CST it took the code, you have to put in your address before the code would show discount,

The tax pre-total is weird. I just got the e-mail though and it shows the discounted total and then tax applied correctly and a lowered total than when I submitted the order, so go ahead and order guys. (if they charge tax in your state).. still a good deal.

That's what happened to me last Cyber Monday. While placing the order it showed tax on the full price but was adjusted in the email confirmation. Today however the tax was showing correctly off the discounted price while placing the order.

Wow that is weird. I went ahead and ordered and the same thing happened to me. $13 difference in my email. I guess we're all good. Snagged the 1/2" M18 Fuel impact for $363 after tax. Good score right?

FSUwelder,

Did you wait until after midnight central time?

Best regards,

Scott

I placed the order at 12:01 central time. I tried to use it earlier but the code was inactive before then and wouldn't apply. I placed the order anyway since I ordered a bunch of knipex pliers and didn't want to risk them being out of stock later. I'll call them in the morning and get it all straightened out.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my postcard code was not recognized as a legitimate code. I then used the emailed code - BLIZZARDSALE - which worked.

Has anyone else had their postcard code rejected by the website?

Best regards,

Scott

In CA at least, I believe it's state law that tax is applied to the before-coupon price.

20% & 30% discounts now posted through midnight CST Monday 30-Nov

That really pisses me off. They had the 15% for black Friday and were hinting at a sale for today but I didn't want to risk it being less so I said screw it and bought all the 80/20 stuff I needed to build the stand for my tool boxes. I saved $50 using the 15% code and if I waited it would have been $100.

Cancel your order and re-order it
Or call customer service and ask about it

Every time I've dealt with their customer service folks they've been awesome. Give them a call.

I just got off the phone with Zoro Customer Support. I read the code on my postcard to the young lady that answered the phone and - after a bit of a wait - I was told that it was a valid code.

I would think it was operator error on my part when I entered it but I tried twice and I am certain that I had typed it correctly.

Odd.

So did all the prices jump, or only certain items?

I'm seeing about a 5% bump on the items I had in my cart.

A CDI 1/2" drive torque wrench I was following jumped from $158.68 to $195.89. Still dropped the hammer due to it still being a better price than Amazon. Two other CDI torque wrenches I got didn't change price though. Go figure.

Yes, no bump on mine, either. I pulled the trigger on a Miller 211 and a few other odds & ends.

The code applied but didn't take anything off the price, I guess I'll be calling them in the morning. Anyone else have this issue?

Pennsylvania is one of five states (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Missouri and Texas are the others) that makes a distinction between manufacturer and store coupons, when it comes to collecting sales tax. Most states charge tax on the total before manufacturer coupons are applied, but after store coupons are applied. Pennsylvania and the others say tax should be calculated after all store and manufacturer coupons are applied.

In my case, PA sales tax is showing up on full amount before coupon applied.

FWIW, the discount does up in the website as an "instant rebate", although I think the actual invoice says something like "partner discount". I imagine the exact phrasing probably does matter :-/ In Washington it can depend on something as stupid as whether they give you a plastic fork before or after you pay for a salad from a salad bar. Any one who thinks sales taxes are fair or uniform really isn't paying attention.

I think next year I'm going to try for a Miller 211.

Time to get my feet wet...

I wanted to buy one today. I don't see the old style 211 on ZORO anymore, only the inverter version.

It's actually a better deal for me just to go down to the welding store and buy one with the $200 Miller rebate, since Zoro jacks their price up by about $200+ anyway, the 30% coupon is a wash.
WITH Ca. tax my OTD price is $1047.37 and no waiting on UPS,
at Zoro it's $1052.47 30% off my ***

The transformer version was discontinued a while ago. Also, others have had success using the rebate from Miller for welders they bought on Zoro.

I got the Milwaukee ProPEX M12 Expansion Tool Kit plus the two other sizes of expanders and a tube of grease. With the 30% off $375 delivered. I'm happy.

That's a good price locally then. I can't find one below $1000 (before tax) in my area. Ordering 2 spoolmates, selling them, and getting the $400 rebate puts the 211 in the $550 range.

I always buy my machines from local supplier. Go with CASH and get a BETTER deal and add some goodies or a tank too.

As for Zoro jacking prices, you gotta be a smart shopper today and know your prices. The Portabands are normally $220.00 everywhere. Zoro's 30% off dropped it to around $160.00 and a 3 pack of blades to $11.00. :D

Got a roll cart for work and have been stocking it up the last few weeks. Got an IR 2235, proto impact and chrome socket in three drive sizes, proto extensions, proto brass hammer, a couple of knipex pliers, mityutoyo pocket scale and straight edge, nupla drilling hammer, Starrett auto center punch and a few other odds and ends. Saved about 500 bucks.

CA Tax is charged on the before coupon price.

Feel like I should ask them about this?

Their website always show the tax calculated as pre discounted price when you check out but once you get an email copy of the receipt it will show the correct tax on the after sale price. It's been this was as long as I can remember. I have ordered nearly a dozen times during sales and always get charged the right price once the order is processed.

Hey guys my order is shipped !
the tracking To my surprise is not ups or FedEx

I ordered a 150 lbs item. I think normally Amazon ships it ups (multiple boxes) which gets pretty beat up

This may have been the best choice so far not due to price alone, plus it is dispatched not too far from me

Did Zoro change something on their invoices? The one I just received didn't have either Zoro or manufacturer part numbers on it. I hope this doesn't complicate things for the Miller rebate.

My involce doesn't mention anything about the brand and no model numbers
With a rebate I would think you submit a UPC code and if Zoro is a authorized dealer you should be good. Even though the invoice is strangely written

ZORO isn't one of the participating distributors for Miller's rebate program, with that said, I'd still submit everything and maybe you'll get lucky.

I believe an invoice comes with the order in the box typically.

Maybe that one will be better

I noticed something while doing some browsing (hopefully not a repost):

"Limited-Time Promotion: From 11/27/2015 thru 12/19/2015, free ground shipping is available on all orders shipped within the continental United States. No order minimum required. No promo code required. Restrictions apply."

The savings aren't huge, but $5.00 is $5.00. Thought I'd pass it along for anyone who might want to make some smaller purchases.

Last 30% off sale in Sept, I got the 30% off a MillerMatic 212 and also got the $100 rebate from Miller. Read the rebate app. Just send a digital copy of your invoice and a photo of the data tag on your machine. Real easy.
