Tools Overseas

I have a buddy that has been circumnavigating the world and living on a sailboat for the past few years. And because he lives on a boat, he has been forced to become a sort of jack-of-all-trades handyman. A couple of years back, he stopped by the gulf coast and came inland to Austin for a visit. While here, we went to Home Depot and he loaded up on Ryobi and other lesser quality power tools. I questioned him on his decision making, but he shut me down pretty quickly.

So I was blindly sent one of these tape measures – I guess for review? But I’ve reviewed a tape measure before and to be honest, there isn’t a whole lot to say on the matter. The FastCaps are great because there is some innovation there and I guess you could say the same about these new Lufkin offerings for three main reasons: It’s built like a brick shit house and weighs about the same. Bus Grease Monkey

I seem to fall down YouTube rabbit holes on a regular basis… Most recently, I stumbled upon some guy that finds, repairs, and I guess sells old buses of all things. At first glance, this doesn’t seem all that interesting but if you let it play in the background while you work away on the computer, you’ll quickly get hooked. There’s just something about the adventure of traveling hundreds of miles to pick up, repair, and drive home a big ass buss that hasn’t been on the road in decades. See Comments on the forum.

Fuji Mini-Mite 3 Platinum

I like making stuff, but I’ve learned through the years that I don’t enjoy finishing stuff at all. Painting, sealing, staining, etc… it’s all laborious work that requires a kind of fastidious patience that I often don’t have when I’m just excited to be done with a project.
