Atomic Industry World HQ: Part 3
At some point, you have to trust your judgement in planning, your budget, your contractor, and everything else and just get to work. We reached that point a few weeks ago and began studding, wiring, plumbing, insulating, and dry walling the Atomic Industry World HQ. Much of this work is standard affair and I won’t bore you with too many of the details. There are, however, a few details on this building that need mentioning at this point.
One Crazy Orthodontist…
This is off topic a bit, but pretty incredible just the same. An orthodontist on the HAMB is absolutely crazy about vintage cars and garages. So much so, that he decided to design his office as a tribute of sorts. He recently finished the project and you aren’t going to believe it. Check out the photos:
Atomic Industry World HQ: Part 2
So we’ve decided to keep the old metal building and with some imagination and creativity, turn it into an office space with a modern industrial feel. Admittedly, it’s a big challenge for both me and the architect. Together, we decided the best plan of action was to focus on the use of the building first. We had faith in the old theory that form always follows function.
Heaven in New Zealand
So these pictures were posted on our sister site (The Jalopy Journal) a while back and I’ve been meaning to post them here for a while now. About all I can tell you about these heavenly shots is that they were taken somewhere in New Zealand. That’s all I got… Somehow, however, that’s all you need. Words would almost screw this up.
