About four years ago, I ran out of tie downs and set out to buy the best I could find. I searched everywhere and then stumbled onto Rhino tie downs… They had incredible reviews and were made in the USA – How can you beat that, right? Turns out, they actually aren’t made in the USA. I’m not sure if Rhino is trying insinuate that with their name or not, but the straps are made in China. Let that much be clear. We’ve established that I have a problem… I obsess on utility knives. From the Maker Knife to cheap Chinese knockoffs to expensive custom jobs – I’ve tried as many as I can get my hands on. One I haven’t tried is the ToughBuilt Reload. Essentially, it’s a utility knife that stores blades in a magazine for both easy blade storage and change overs. I typically don’t mess with big box store brands – especially when it comes to a commitment as large as a shop cabinet. Reason being, if you end up with something large and heavy that doesn’t suit your needs, it’s like having a boat anchor in the desert – it’s always in your way and it’s hard as hell to get rid of. Back in 2016, I reviewed a spotless water system from CR Spotless. We live out in the country, get our water from a well that produces incredibly hard water, and so… a water softener of some kind is absolutely necessary to wash both cars and the windows on our house. As such, my CR Spotless system has been used quite regularly. For the most part, the system has performed admirably over the years. The one negative is the cost of resin.
