I got it from ebay and had two problems, The button for ON had to be press all the time

Second, the magnetic base twitch was not working, it will be on the second the second the drill was conected

Now I have all the parts but a freaking clue how to connected the right way, I admitted I'm clueless about electricity and electronic

Thanks in advance

Ricky

Couple of old threads in similar topic. Sounds like you have switches or relays stuck.

Wow RTM so very nice of you.

Mine came from ebay with the wonky switches, message the seller and he cover the cost

When opening the control box, everything was a mess, the cables that trigger magnet where ******* together since the switch is only $9dollars

Now I can make the ekectromagnet work But I have issues powering the drill "like I have two missing wires" but I'm sure is not since I have no clue what I'm doing

To clarified I got m Steelmax from ebay and to my surprise the wiring was all hack inside, most notable the bypass the magnet switch (that now works thanks to the new stich) but I find puzzling since dealing with steelmax is a delightful experience and the mag switch only cost nine dollars and before you had to disconect the 120v plug to move it around

The issues is that I think the drill power leads are gone (99% in wrong since I'm a horrible electrician)

I only know they are two empty spade that power the leads

I'm just not sure if they cut/hack the leads or what

From my perspective, a bit wider view of where things go might help. I'm guessing the two wires shown with your thumb must be those two to the drill motor. Also, without a pic of the front plate, I don't know what the back of the switches do.

Did the wiring diagram come with the drill? Do the colors match up, etc?

Where is drill power switch, on the pulled off faceplate, or the handle, etc.

Here is a manual online, with a wiring diagram. Does your control board have a number matching either the number in yours, or this one? Subtle differences in the information provided.

Edit: oops

In the manual, it shows one leg of the power from the mag switch jumped on the board direct to the motor circuitry, which helps a little. Looks like the other leg is jumpered too, which could say that the motor doesn't really care if the magnet is working, only that the main power is on. (Q1 switch). So if you can find the labeled terminals (31 & 35) on the board, those two should connect to the inlet side of your motor switch. (Q2). The switch outlet should connect to your power filter (probably the grey MIFLEX thing), which should then connect to the motor. The MIFLEX may not be factory, as the wire colors don't match the drawing. The large number of **** splices could be a clue, look for your diagram colors on one side of the splices.

When things get goofy like this, I print out the diagram, and start marking things up in color to figure out what happened before you .

Your two button switch should have four numbers, one on each connection blade, 14, 24, and 13, 23, and then the A1, which shows up on this picture, attached to a blade. I think this is feedback for switched off.

Also, S2 on the magnet connection is possibly an over temp switch, or a magnet energized switch, or maybe even touching down on a surface. Can't tell for certain without seeing it. Or checking it with a meter.

Enough for now, doing this on the phone is a major PITA. Take more pics, will try to look later.
