reminds me of a story a guy I know used to be in building TV commercial sets . they wanted a 1 armed bandit to land on the winning line up . apparently the chiefs worked at it for several days trying to figure out how to do it. They asked him if he had any ideas. He said, line it up to what you want shown, film it in reverse ,pull the lever , done.
I think I've got them all . if you notice any in the other thread that should be here, also if there's anything in here that doesn't belong, let me know. I'll unstick it in a few days

quarter size model for the heck of it. I need to dry a roll of TPU overnight to do the rest of the tires for chair #2, so instead of idling the printer, i figured i might as well do something fun. each plate is about 3 hrs using a 0.4MM nozzle and 0.16MM layer height

OK, I will admit that I didn't read all 5 pages, and I find what you are doing admirable. I would just like to make one suggestion: form a corporation, preferably a C corporation. That way, you eliminate personal liability and then buy a multi-million dollar liability insurance policy. Yes, you are filling a need; however, if one of those children gets injured while using your wheelchair, a lawyer is going to go after you and take everything you own. Just the cost of defending any litigation is prohibitive. Yes, insurance is expensive, but it is part of the cost of what you are manufacturing. You might want to consider going on Shark Tank and getting an investor. They will have the connections to make you a multi-millionaire while providing all the business advice that you will need going forward.

I get you have good intentions with this post, but I am not worried. Plus, I already have a multi million dollar liability policy (umbrella) that covers work done while volunteering outside of being a board member. In those cases, I only serve on a board when a directors and officers policy is in effect

First off, you have to alternate the wheel colors!
Are those all 0.8mm nozzle? How many walls did you run?
We went to assemble a chair tonight and I had cracking in both front wings. They're reprinting now with a 3rd wall.
I had some issues with the first chair at 2 walls and chalked some of it up to it being my first assembly, but after this, I'm really leaning towards 2 walls being barely adequate
the mini is .6mm nozzles.
on the wedge locks? i sanded them down and cleaned the inside a bunch to get them to bottom out better. in V3 im asking for clearance in there by .5mm

I have to do a little cleanup on the tpu parts but otherwise, this is good to go.
Assembly and removing supports was about 90ish minutes.

Did you print a headrest? At 0.36 layer, it didn't create enough threads to engage the screw. I'm going to have to reprint it today.
I think a .75mm chamfer on them would help a lot as well.

2.5mm notch was enough for the front casters to clear
I need to test the single piece footrest but expect it will work
I'd really like the push handle to be more solid. The design doesn't inspire a ton of confidence if the child needs a good amount of assistance.
I think the front casters should have taller wheels.
Would be fantastic if the wings could be shorted just enough to print standing up
Publish the new files with the wheels and tires all setup at the right quantity instead of saying to reprint 4x and 2x, respectively

If somebody were to "two-tone" print the PETG, would it be roughly 4kg each, or more like 3/5kg split? Anyone have a list of a "coordinated look" for doing this?

You can split it a bunch of ways as the parts are across 20+ plates. I have a spreadsheet that lets me input inventory and the assign color to each print to confirm I have enough.
I'm doing the big variety of colors just to make it fun. Ends up requiring a bunch more planning, though
If I was doing two colors, I'd probably do all of the side parts in color 1 and then the center parts in color two. Wheels half and half. I'd have to look at the file to see the split, but I bet it would be between 7/2 and 6/3

Gotcha. We (the HS) may be sponsoring a print for an Elem. student and going to do it in school colors, hence the "two-tone". I see the files on the plates, but was lacking the "vision" to see how it would make sense fully assembled and look good color wise.

I think a way to easily model the colors as an assembly would be cool, but when I try to bring the Stl's all into fusion, my computer bursts into flames.
I struggle with a lack of symmetry, so I'd split it the way I said, but a toddler doesnt care.
Dont forget the TPU color. Good chance for an accent

And are you good with the quality of the prints using a 0.8 nozzle, 0.40MM layer and telling BS that it is HF Petg?
I ran that through BS and got 5 days 14hrs (4 days 10 hrs with a HF nozzle) for the PETG parts, which is absolutely wild compared to the 10 days 10 hrs with a 0.4MM nozzle and generic PETG

there are some prints that doesnt work on. like the handle. too much drooping.
but yea the 8mm nozzle is willdddd for technical large prints.
