Does Felo manufacture any of their screwdrivers in the Czech Republic? All of the Felo screwdrivers I own are made in Germany.
good point... all my felos are germany too.

my wera kraftform chisel screwdrivers had "made in czech republic" on the packaging and have the same hex shaft as those snapon ones, FWIW they are my favourite drivers as they have taken 5 years of total abuse, from smashing tiles of walls to prying floor boards and worse, and yet they the blades are still fine, now snap on have made them with my favourite handles its even better.![]()
strange my chisel drivers say germany on them and i bought them only a few months ago off amazon. I would also agree the are the best screwdrivers i have ever used

both of my wera sets say germany on them, did they just recently switch to the czech repub?
haha how cool is that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Now finally Snap-On makes quality screwdrivers which you can buy![]()

Somehow I knew you'd be along
Rather nice to see outsourcing that isn't far eastern. If they give Stanley a ring (yeah, I know...) they could finally sell a decent (British made) utility knife.

Don't like them, I like the round blades with the bolsters. That hex shaft will get old in a hurry. They look cheesy and where the blade sometimes has to rest against something else the shaft will cam. I think they screwed the pooch on those.
I just hope they aren't as expensive as diamonds![]()
$109.95 for the set.
Thats not too bad actually. If I didn't have Wera diamond tips Id consider them.
But weren't your Weras like $30? Maybe I am too practical (or cheap), but 3 times the price seems pretty overpriced.

Screw Snap-On! I'm taking my old so hard handles + super glue + wifes diamond wedding ring + BFH and making my own!![]()

Sounds like ther made in the same place the Dual 80 ratchets are made.
They should be called Dual 80 screwdrivers.![]()

While I don't like the shafts I do like the diamond embedded tip concept
How long do these diamond particle coatings actually last before the tip is smooth?
It seems like a marketing gimmick but I don't have any first hand experience.
I was instantly sold when I learned about the new Wera diamond bits several years ago. They do grip the fastener very well, as was demonstrated at the shop I bought it at. Sadly, after a few uses, the coating has worn off from the contact points, just from hand use
Take a look at Wiha dura bits:

I haven't tried them yet, but plan to pick up a PH2 sometime and see how they work.
Somebody needs to make a diamond-embedded ACR tip.
That would be bulletproof.
