I scored the insulated set of knipex insulated tools for $29.99 at the prattville ala lowes. I bought the only one they had. Also. Got the one inch pipe bender for $15.00 down from $70.00. Also got another pair of channelock cable cutters for $11.00. That pretty much ends all the electrical tool deals within 100 miles of me.

Did some running around yesterday and got a few more items:

9-5-2013#1.jpg
The Sears pliers are replacements for an old set on which the handles were going bad. They are still made in USA but I don't like them so they are already listed on Craigslist.

The Channellock 909's I already have, but couldn't pass them up at $12. One of them may end up on CL as well. If someone here on GJ wants one I'm happy to share the good fortune - just give me what I paid and pay shipping. Not sure if that will still be a good deal or not though?

After I got home I found out that the Knipex is a duplicate of one I already have. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet.

Got a few of the stainless cable ties, and a couple more meters. Don't really NEED them, but since when has that been a requirement?

I got 3 of the Amprobe clamp meters for $25 each. I am gonna keep one, and give one for a gift. Not sure about the third one. If someone here on GJ wants the third one I'm happy to share the good fortune - just give me what I paid and pay shipping. Again, not sure if that will still be a good deal or not though?

Lowe's website is terrible for reflecting what is actually available in-store...

they worked fine on my local stores, if it showed 1 or 2 in stock it was there. Just not on the shelf. Most of the time it was on the top shelf above it still in the boxes

I meant there are a lot of items in stores that don't even show up when searching the Lowes website...

I'm curious .. why would you post this? Who cares?

I'm curious .. Why the hell are you so rude?

Generally when someone says "subscribed", they are saying "hey, this is a interesting thread that I want to keep my eye on". It's called conversation. It's what we do here.

Item name: Knipex 8"/200mm combo pliers (there were like 6-8 pairs in a cardboard box in the electrical Isle)
Price:$7.33
Store ZIP Code: Redlands, CA 92373
Item # (if there are many with similar name/description): 338728

I Ran to the East Highland store after i heard from an employee they were phasing all Knipex out. (they had 3-4 of the Knipex 3" Multi-Tool [it's cross shaped])

I haven't been on GJ in over a month and am now finding this thread. I will be heading to other store in So-cal so if your in So-cal and are looking for one tool in particular PM me.

I am personally looking for the automatic adj wire strippers: http://www.lowes.com/pd_338735-1046...&pl=1&currentURL=?Ntt=KNIPEX&facetInfo=KNIPEX

I'm shocked to see you are from Ohio. I know what he meant. It adds nothing to the 'conversation'.

Typically you aren't subscribed to a thread until you post in it...however I would remind users about the "Subscribe to this thread" link under "Thread Tools" at the top :)

you must not be a regular forum guy. some forums have a subscribe button and some do not so you have to post in a thread to get an email update on the thread....hell some forums that have a subscribe button are sometimes impossible to find.

Sooooo. To get back on track.

If anyone happens across a well clearanced pair of the mini bolt cutters I would be very interested in talking to you ;)

Around here they list them online as "Knipex wire strippers" but I'm pretty sure they are the mini bolt cutters.

Lowes #'s
Item #: 139323
Model #: 71 31 200 D4A

Nothing in reasonable driving distance that I can find.

Man those prices are robbery.

Tell me about it. For just that one haul, I got the two Knipex 5 piece sets, the 3 Knipex mini bolt cutters, 4 of the Channellock 369CRFT linemans and 1 of the Knipex lineman pliers (137980) for $46.00 bucks including the tax. I don't think I will ever find deals like these ever again. :shocking:

Are you guys finding these on the shelf in normal spots? Or in hidden clearance areas in the back of the store? Just look for the colored tags? When I was at my local one I saw little on sale or clearance, I did get a chuckle out of a 79.99 item on clearance for 79.00!

Thanks
Matt

This is what I'm seeing also in a couple of the Lowe's I visited here in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Looks like it's all about timing when you visit, I guess.

Everything I have bought on clearance has been in the normal spots in the electrical section.

Same for me. There has not been any special places where I have found items. They have all been in their original spots in the electrical aisle.

And ya wonder why I never respond to these threads.

So tell me, whatcha gonna with the other 5 pairof Knipex or are ya gonna use 'em all. Meanwile, local buyers are left out.

Wait. I knew the answer the question before I even posted it.

This is like "Grouponing" but with hoarding dudes with ball-sacks instead of vajayjay's..

No offense.
But you can't say it is not true.

:)

Off to ebay you go to sell off that stash of good local deals that no one can longer buy.
But I knew that.

:)

Some people Do actually have a use for several of the same tool. Others buy up the bargains and share them/give them away.

So yeah, I can say for a fact that you're wrong. ;)

I buy at least one extra of almost every sale tool I get...helping my son in law fill up his tool box.
