They are bad copies of USA Klein. The cushion handles are direct copies of Klein journey man and the regular handles are regular Klein handles. Some of these tools are priced the same or more than the Home Depot Klein offerings. That and Channellock get my plier money.

They look like dollar store/Harbor Freight tools

Hit the only other lowes in town and there was nothing left.

I do not own any hitachi so as this does not include a battery I cannot see spending it, as the battery is $99.99.

The southwire tools will probably be pretty nice.... Southwire is probably the largest electrical wiring company in the US. They supply roughly 1/3 of all the wire currently used in the US IIRC. My guess is they wouldn't try to put out **** pliers at Knipex prices.

Whether they are as good as Knipex, who knows, but they will probably be fairly nice.

You keep on believing that.

Meanwhile, I'll keep on living in the world of reality.

Just like the pizza industry.Products touted as quality with low quality ingredients hoping to skate by on reputation.

Don't do it...wait, Lowes already did. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Anyone have a link to the 8" knipex for less than $10? My local store has six pair at $15 each.

I tried changing my location on the Lowe's website to a few different stores but all I saw was $19.97 for the Knipex 8" combos.

However the Waterloo, IA Lowe's appears to have one set of the Knipex 1000 volt 5-piece set for $12.50, if someone near there wants to snap them up.

Someone over at SD posted they were told the Kobalt line is going to be cleared out for a new Kobalt line within a week.
So be alert for that possibility.

It's true and already started in the building department. They have the blue hawk boxes above the koala stuff and the prices are 50% off already.

If we had a zip code for where these were bought for $1.68 and printed out a copy from Lowe's website reflecting this price if our local Lowes would honor this price. ???

Worth a shot, worst they can do is say no.

Abington, MA 02351, Store #2785

Weymouth, MA has the same price, actually 12 cents cheaper, but none in stock. I havn't seen anything CannelLock in Lowes for a few months, but it's worth trying if you have the free time.

That's insane!! If you can pick me up some I will gladly pay for shipping and a few extra bucks.

The Abington store shows regular price when i checked and the Weymouth store shows $1.56

I would have done it for you, but there was only one in stock. I went to put 10 in my cart and it only said one is available. I would guess that that one single pair is hiding on a shelf somewhere where nobody will ever find it. Not worth the aggravation of finding that one pair.

For future reference, the Weymouth store almost always has whatever crazy deal Lowes is running if anyone is ever going for a price match.

I just picked up two pairs of the 8" linemans for $1.04 at the New Carrollton, MD store. It was the last two they had. Should make nice X-mas gifts for my brother & BIL.

Blue Hawk chain binder (lever load binder) is on sale at one of my locations. Clearance tag said original price was $27.98. I picked one up for $19.98. 5400# WLL for 5/16-3/8 chain.

http://www.lowes.com/pd_348291-258-...ue+hawk+chain+binder&productId=3611858&rpp=32

I also picked up 3 more pairs of Knipex 10" 'gators for $11/ea.
I showed my phone with a price of $6.23 to the cashier (I entered a random zip code to find a lower price). The cashier checked with the head cashier who then looked it up on their website. The website for the store I was in was still showing full price. The cashier said she would do 50% off though, so I took it. I left one on the shelf.

There's still 2 pairs of 8" combo pliers hanging on the rack too for $9.98.

I had ordered 3 fluke multi meters for 20 bucks a piece but had to cancel. My FIL couldn't pick them up. They should be back on the shelf at the Pittsburgh lowes. South hills store 5775 BAPTIST ROAD
BETHEL PARK, PA 15102.
