The saw wasn't a two person or poulan, I read the name on it but can't remember as it wasn't a common brand I'm familiar with. The aluminum body was bare finished and about a foot or more wide, maybe 15" tall and at least that long. I think it was about 2'0-24" of chain rail with big teeth to prevent kickback. Name/model plate riveted on left side of body. I was thinking it would be cool all polished up bright.
The guy helping set things up mentioned that Saturday they would be blowing things out an to check back then as that was the last day of the sale.
The pricing mostly ended in change, like $1.25 or 1.50 for something worth $1.29 in a store...
The metal I got was $38.76 the guy said because he charged 30% less than the cost of what the price he looks up on the Internet. So the piece I wanted was. 12' and a few inches, break out the calculator and the total came to. $38.76, no penny discount on the first day, didn't even round down to 12' and it's just an inch or so over. There was lots more metal, some cool I beams etc but I almost crapped my britches when he quoted me the prices. The only reason I popped on that piece was I've been looking for 4" heavy wall box to put under that 2" plate for a while and figured since there was 12', I could get all four legs from the same piece and under $40 I would just bite the bullet and get it over with.
I'll drop back by tomorrow if I get a chance and snap a pic of the saw. Also since #1 scrap iron is about $0.06 lb, I figured I would offer $0.10 lb for any of the big pieces they don't sell by Saturday at close.

and that driver that has a weird pointed blade: It's Marked Hold-E-Zee TP 1. also Pat No. 2141072, which happens to be from 1938. Basically this is intended t be used with either slotted or the "new" Phillips head screws!
