This is supposed to include a "Blown plastic carrying case" but it was delivered today without it. It can't mean the tray that they come in, you can't carry that around.

Does anyone know what the story with that is?

I've never seen one in any other thing besides the tray it comes in. So yes i would guess that the carrying tray is the "case".

OMGoodness. Sounds like a chat I had with some guy named Earnest about a Worx leaf vacuum that was the wrong model. Kept telling me "do not worry, we are dedicated to customer satisfaction and will make this right". Ended up telling me that he would issue me a return label and then I could buy the correct item at regular price, when I had bought the correct item on sale.
Told him he was crazy. His response? Do not worry, we will make this right. I will send a return label...

I've got a bit of nostalgia for the Craftsman clear handles. I've wanted to get a #4 Philips for a while. I figure now is the time before they discontinue the clear handles or Sears goes belly up altogether.

Buy the #4 separately and it's $10.49. Get it in this set for a couple bucks more.

After seeing how pitiful the Sears stores in my area are, I can't imagine what the ones looked like that they are closing.

They actually can look more full, because they consolidate things, as well as bring **** in from other stores. Any ironically, they have a ton more shoppers during their closing sales, though they are the ones that show up to anything with a sign that says sale/clearance/going out of biz

Last night I went in to pick up an order. Guy didn't have it in the back and made me wait about 15 minutes while he looked on the shelves for it. In the end couldn't find half of it. Gave me a ticket to get a refund from a cashier. Went to the cashier with the refund ticket and my 1/2 order that was given to me without a receipt or loss prevention tape. Guy accused me to my face of taking the item off the shelf and trying to walk out with it. Then found out that the manager I know was just fired for theft.

Stock should be dropping more than 12% with this kind of nonsense. What a mess.

Sears is about an hour from my house so I usually have the items shipped. The smaller items less than 30 I do store pickup and I may not get to the store but once every couple of weeks or so. I also work out of town and when I'm gone the wife picks up the orders.

The last time she went to pickup they only gave her two items when I had 9 I think. I thought no big deal I'll just pick it up the next time I'm there. I showed them via my tablet the orders I had not picked up. I waited about 30 mins and the guy came back and said the more expensive items had been picked up already. Did all but accuse me of trying to pick up the same item twice. I wasn't backing down and they finally gave me my items. Still says processing for pickup on the website

Over the past several years I have had this happen multiple times. My understanding is that if the item sits for over 30 days, the store may mark it as picked up as they have no way to cancel and refund the order. Sounds like a load of BS to me and a good candidate for a lawsuit. Happened to me on a couple of small items and one much larger item. The larger item I argued with them and eventually it was found and given to me. The small items I didn't feel like were worth the hassle. This was back when you could find the "local ad" deals online that were store specific, so I would buy items that were greatly marked down at nearby stores that I did not frequent too often.

I would have asked to see the signature of the pickup, as well as find out when it was picked up.

I did at first, but after already waiting around for 20+ minutes, just didn't feel like sitting there trying to prove that I didn't pick it up. Like I said, on the large item I did. Their computer system did tell when it was picked up and the employee who marked it that way. This happened at multiple stores as well, which makes me wonder if it's some kind of behind-the-scenes policy.

I got so many great deals and made a lot of money reselling NOS USA stuff that I would just self-insure against Sears' screw ups, of which there were many.

The guy mentioned me reselling. I do not but I may do so in the future. With some of the deals you get it's no wonder they are going out of business

Recently had a store pickup item say that it had been picked up but I never got an email saying it was ready for pickup. The lady at sears knows me and even has my phone #. She called me and said she found it on laying on the shelf. Its not an item they normally stock so it was out of place....

I ordered four sets of the Irwin clamps and only 2 of the 4 came in (I pre paid for four) and they called me that the order was ready for pick up, when I went to the store to pick them up I said: "I ordered 4 where are the other two sets? And the clerk said: "that is all they sent so they must be on back order please sign here." I signed that I picked up the order and never got credited for the two sets that were not picked up..... needless to say I saw the manager and explained the situation and he said since it was not an expensive item he would just refund the money to me and I said: "Sir, I am being honest with you and I have no reason to scam you so you mean to tell me if this happened to a $100 item in the same situation you would not refund my money?"....... He replied: "I would have to look into it much further before I would give you the refund on something you signed for."
MORAL of the story: Sears is on life support and be very cautious when dealing with them!

BTW! Use points ASAP!

That's the usual price, and sometimes in store they have them as $44.99...

I would love a set, but I'm not buying that one with all the skips... F that...
What ~20 PC set do you recommend for under $80?
