Most if not all of the very good deals mentioned in my earlier post ended tonight as suspected, after just 24 hours despite the Cyber sale supposedly running a few more days. This is typical of Sears, the majority of truly good deals are gone within 24 hours of the start of any sale regardless of the duration of the entire sale itself. I sincerely hope people found some stuff to pickup during the short window they were available.

I can confirm there was a bit of overlap between the next day (ability to use dated freecash from the 28th) and the end of the sale. Such that items I put in my cart before the price increase remained at the lower price for an hour so I could order them with the use of my freecash today. Something to keep in mind for the future.

The hose pinch pliers were showing at $7.19 ea for me instead of the $5.**, if these were the ones (http://www.sears.com/craftsman-hose-pinch-pliers/p-00949283000P). Still was able to grab a few before the deal expired.

The hose pinch off pliers were $7, the hose clamp pliers were $5. Great deals both either way, I know I bought one of both. Also the spark plug pliers were $4.88 got one of those too. Spent waaay too much money at Sears yesterday on Xmas gifts for Pops hahaha.

Although have to say feels good to finally give them some actual money after the last 6 +/- months of largely completely free tools after points. Hopefully help out their 3rd quarter earning results due out on Thursday to weather the storm.

Sears Parts Direct Craftsman Industrial USA Clearance Sale (Use PARTS17 for 15% discount):

https://www.searspartsdirect.com/clearance/132000/parts/1.html

Thanks for posting this!

I just ordered the large SAE and Metric wrench set to complete my Craftsman Industrial full polished wrench sets. I'm not sure I'll ever need sizes this large, but it's still nice to have a complete set, and especially for only $75.92 after tax, shipping and coupon discount code!

Any idea of the COO? There is no reference in the product description and the person on the parts direct chat wasn't able to find it either.

Craftsman Industrial was always made in the USA. These are just the last of it I'm sure.

Ok, thank you. I thought the Industrial were all USA made. Went ahead and ordered the swivel impact socket set and the large wrenches.

They must have found some Made in the USA Craftsman Industrials in a warehouse or something. Stellar deal, especially on the swivel impacts and the large wrenches.

Hello all: the Craftsman Industrial jumbo wrench set is USA, as are all Craftsman Industrial Tools.

Here is the note that accompanied the email alerting me to this deal:

“””

Cyber Monday special- Craftsman Industrial tools

Craftsman Industrial tools are specially designed to meet the needs of daily professional use at the highest level. Built from durable, drop-forged steel and made in the United States, Craftsman Industrial are perfect for heavy-duty industrial and automotive work.

“””

Furthermore, this is a full polish set. Not raised panel, like the old USA and new Chinese regular Craftsman wrenches.

I found the parts list for the big wrenches. Looks like it is the real deal, Craftsman Industrial. The set looks to be from September 2014.

http://manualzz.com/doc/3093644/craftsman-10-piece-contents-list

Here is the page out of the catalog from 2014 for the individual pieces:

http://www.e-digitaleditions.com/i/299205-tools-2014-2015/85?

The 1/2 swivels are also in that catalog, on page 76.

I got those wrenches and the swivels. Put my earl plugs in for when the grinch(wife) show up. It's gonna get ugly.

This gravy train ain't gonna last forever...

Yep, I was watching this set a few years ago on the regular Sears website, but couldn't bring myself to pay the something like $200 plus for this set. Kept watching for a great deal to come along then, but finally gave up. I only wanted them to complete my set that I purchased during the big Sears Outlet CI wrench clearance a few years ago, so I couldn't justify the price on this set back then. I was very excited to see your post today and jumped on it without hesitation. I wasn't even aware that Sears Parts even sold tools, or I would have been watching their website as well.

BTW, for anyone not familiar with the Craftsman Industrial full polished wrenches, they are beautiful USA made long pattern wrenches that have at times been compared to Snap On quality here on Garage Journal. It's a huge shame that Craftsman didn't continue on this road instead of going the China route!

Did you guys have to pay for shipping on the wrenches? It's not giving me the option to pick up at a store.

Ok, what the heck...I'm in for one set of the large wrenches. I probably won't use those sizes very much, but I can't pass up the deal. Thanks for the heads up and the coupon!

Same here! Thanks for the heads up on this.

Maybe I'll mount them to a plaque and hang them up in my garage as a decoration. I'm trying to remember the last time I could have used a 32mm wrench... Man I feel like a junkie right now:)

Any way to stack coupon codes on the Parts site?

Members get $20 back in points
on PartsDirect purchase over $50 with coupon code: SYW20

Along with PARTS17 code.

I can only enter one code. I'd almost rather pay full price for the wrenches, and get the $20 back in points. But the cart doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy I will actually get the $20 in points with that code (the way the Sears site does).

I’ve found Sears to be hit or miss on the points back. Sometimes I’ve actually received them, and other times not! I went for the sure thing with the parts17 code.

Yep, $10.80 for sure discount, or maybe $20.00 back in points.

Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, right?

I'm going to go for the sure thing PARTS17 code over the maybe SYW20 code.

Maybe jumping the gun here, but decided to make room for the new larger sizes in my wrench drawer. I only need 2 of the large SAE and 3 of the large Metric to complete the sets. The other 5 new wrenches will go to my extra sets that I have in storage. I'll get another wrench rail for the 5mm thru 10mm I moved to the left side.

i was told today, by a person who identified herself as "the store manager right now", that the craftsman hand tool guarantee "for any reason fails to provide complete satisfaction" really means "the tool is completely unusable".

of course, there were no craftsman "adjustable wrenches" (what i have always called cresent wrenches) in the store, just empty pegs. among all the other empty pegs in the area. the kid said there were several in inventory, but after a while in the back, he couldn't find them, which is why he called for "the floor manager", who identified herself as i noted above.

not sure which is sadder, the complete lack of wrenches, or the complete lack of management.

That large wrench set is a heck of a deal...but not if I don't use them. What do you guys work on that need the oddball 2xmm and 30+ mm sizes? Seems that this nice set would actually be a waste of money for the homeowner-hobbyist like myself.

Not buy tools you'll never use? You do realize what forum you're on, right? :lol_hitti

Hey guys, they showed up today. The chrome is gorgeous. That good ole USA engraved in big letters on the back of each one.

It’s one of those things, when you need em, you need em. I don’t use them often in auto repair, but am looking to get into ag and larger vehicle repair so needed at least the SAE (have a set of USA Metric raised panel which I’ll be selling on EBay as these are nicer!!)

Anyway, glad I could give back to the community that has helped me build my tool collection along with my skills on a budget 👍👍

I ordered the large wrenches and took a chance on the $20 back in points. I got them a day later and used them to buy the craftsman tappet wrenches and the multimeter that where on sale.

I have a hunch that this set is NOS USA stuff based on the pictures and original sears.com description and date it was added online (2000). Available for shipping or local pickup at a few Outlet stores in WI and IL areas (likely all from one warehouse in the region). You may be able to call one of the stores to verify COO. Not a killer deal, but decent if you want some NOS.
