Nice find on the compressors. I got my 60 gallon last year for ~$125.

They are still full price around the STL area but the 80 gallons have been marked down to about $475 for a couple months now. Must just be store specific since they havent dropped any further lately.

If you search "air compressor" on the PCA, you might find some other ones on clearance besides the 60 gallon...

one store i was in recently had one right outside, well, inside, how about right before you go into (out to?) the "garden center" entrance near the front wall of the building. it almost looked like one of those video displays, but had a sign above it that said "Order".

were i not looking up at the storage areas, i would likely not have noticed the sign . . .

Every store is different around here.1000042436 lock regular $8.99 had pennied. Met team gave to me. Bought some screws and cashier rang up and did not say anything.

Yeah I got there at about 6:30. I'll have to try Volo tomorrow, but I don't recall seeing them at all the last few times I was in there.

For me it depends on the checker... If they checked me out before with penny items and didn't have a problem, then I'll keep going back to them. But also I've had a few large items that I couldn't scan myself anyhow so it wouldn't have mattered...


FYI, in my store the past few days they have really been going up & down every isle re-doing everything and scanning all the tags. Probably doing an inventory cleanup before the spring refresh... So find your goodies before they do!

Garden hose down to $9.03 I saw stuff go from $7.50 to a penny.My met friend said chainsaw bar went from $19.00 to $12.00. Hard to tell about them now.

Yeah there's been some small engine and chainsaw things sitting in my store forever too... They have had .00 clearance prices which I think means it's a manual price set?

the 4 bay M12 battery charger is discounted slightly to $63 in the only store near me that carries it.

the Minwax 'complete' floor stain/poly is marked down ranging from $9-20 for different colours at one store near me.

I got that compressor just *after* inventory, which actually helped me get it ... kept saying if two of these monsters were counted less than two weeks ago, how can they not be here? It's not like when inventory says just one on say a box of screwsnor something. That really convinced this one guy who must have helped look for 30 minutes or so. I think it's even that argument that got me in the back, which is where they turned out to be.

I bought a window AC from them last year, at peak AC buying time. They had pallets of them out on the floor, in lots of places. I wanted particular model (energy star, and quiet), website said they had 50 in stock. I couldn't find it, asked got told they didn't have any from LG. Someone looked it up, PCA said there 50. Had to walk around to find them. Got them to take a pallet down, bought one. Came back the next day, they'd sold the rest of them. I wonder if the other 40 got clearanced in October...

They’d been zeroed out while they were still $50. Now they’re out of the system. $700 worth of product,dead in the rafters cause nobody cared.

Yeah, I've seen both HD and Lowe's lose/misplace multiple large appliances in the back room. It is sad.

Zeroed out as in the inventory level? That doesn't mean they can't be bought. The registers don't care how many are supposed to be on hand. And SKUS usually aren't removed from inventory tables for many months after they were clearanced.

They might show not found in system. Then You can deal with them. Maybe half of .03 price depending on manager.

I bought the Milwaukee 3000 lumen Rocket light (tool only) a couple days ago for $200 close out price. They charge $200 for the 2000 lumen version. They said the 3000 lumen version was a “special buy”, and that they would not continue to carry it in store.

i just bought that light for 200$ too. it is still in stock at other stores around here, but for 399$.

the local tool manager told me that they will get something like that when it comes out, and everyone is hot to get one, but once it cools off, they will get rid of the ones in the smaller/lower volume stores, and just keep a few around in the larger stores, where they still manage to sell, and have room to stock them.

the special buy stuff is usually tools bundled with extra batteries and such. when the chop saw first came out, and they were bundling an extra 9AH battery in them, the model number had HD added to the end.

I know. I mentioned that, because they’ve since dropped from the system. That never would have happened if they’d taken a few minutes to look for them. Works for me though.

I believe they were. They have other sets of the same style, but different quantities. I think it’s like their black handled sets, where they vary the quantities in the sets every so often.
