Lyndsay, it has been busy here in terms of spammers we have all had our work cut out for us big time and they are getting sneakier all the time and it is just part of what we do.

I would sincerely like to be in training for retirement that's for sure however like all things in life we must get the balance right, last week in hospital I had plenty of time to kill as well

1/2: with all the brick you have around your place I might have thought that was the plan for the house next door fence too, but the white pickets with blue really does look great as does everything over there. if I wasn't a homeowner and I had to rent I'd LOVE TO HAVE YOU AS MY LANDLORD.

Shorty thank you, healthwise things are starting to get back on track this last week or so with much more energy, minimal soreness or fatigue and breathing a lot easier to.
There is nothing like a bit of team work to get things done, it would have taken me a month of Sundays otherwise.

No as much as Gerard is an inspiration to us all in garage reorganization I am definitely not game enough to go to the lengths he has done. Just little bits at a time of "Continual Improvement is where I am at right now..

We are really pleased with the out come for sure, our neighbours have complimented us as well

Drives, no brick fence this time, the pickets were a fair chore in them selves, that said I still have a few thousand ready to go for a few projects around here still.

The West Wing is labour of love for us and you do have to keep up with things and that will stand us in good stead later on without busting the bank.

I have just been pottering around, lawns, gardens, finish the picket fence, visit Dad, play with Shelby in the Shed, clean the shed gutters and just generally taking it easy.. I trust you have done the same

The finished fence looks great!. You and Mrs 1/2Cup made a great team on this job. Make sure she hears we all appreciate her hard work as well. Really sets off the street view.

I am doing well at the moment, sleeping like a baby, my joint and muscle soreness is well under control without a whole lot of medication, the fatigue and tiredness has certainly eased some what so I am feeling the new normal and coping a heap better than a few weeks ago..

The population of Greater Melbourne is forecast to double in the next 30 years, so let's hope they have solid plans in place.

Lyndsay yep, stage one permanent restrictions for some years now. That said you can still work within the restrictions and have a nice garden on a typical house block.

I totally endorse the focus on recycling grey water on these new developments its a no brainer in my book

Like it or hate it we hate a Desalination plant, it does get run periodically but if you were struggling to get water out of your taps at home you would be pleased it is there I am guessing, similarly with the North South pipeline.

I was actually shocked that places have permanent water restrictions, especially where you live as the pictures you post of your place makes it look like you live in an oasis, I am even more impressed now that I know you don't have full access to water.

Thanks for the info Ralf. They bought in recycled water in the new suburbs of Sydney when I still lived there, last century, which stopped water restrictions permanently, which was good, but it added thousands to the price of a new home.
Now I live in gods country water restrictions are a thing of the past

One thing I have learnt in this life, is that although the geniuses in govt have decided to double the population, they will do nothing about infrastructure until a major problem surfaces

Lyndsay it is one of those things we learn to live with. The Permanent Water Saving Rules aren't to harsh in reality and we cope with them pretty well.

Taking me a bit longer to make the rounds this week. These last weeks before the end of year holidays are always trying to shoehorn 4-6 weeks work into 2 weeks.

The fence came out looking great Steve! At the rate you’re burning through the maintenance and the honey-dos, you look to be setting up for nice relaxing holiday.

I’ve been willing a lot of rain your way this week. Some visiting Melbournites/Melbournians got stuck in the airport delays caused by the storm on Tuesday. Most having just been through the one in Sydney a few days back. Told them to take it back with them too. Statistics going around that we’ve had 5 times the normal rainfall for October to November and that September was above average too. Hoping December balances out the averages just a bit so I can at least try and keep up with the weekly lawn mowing.

Strangely enough we had light water usage restrictions last year. If we get below average rainfall, we don't currently have enough storage to keep up with demand.

Guster I am with you, its the same here when it comes to the end of the year but I am making a point not getting wound up with it all and just enjoy the season.

Thank you on the fence We have made great inroads with the West Wing of late, getting all those little things done as you would do on your own home and it is very satisfying let me tell you.

We have missed most of the rain going around over the last few months and it is pretty dry. When we do get rain we get weeds every where.

In terms of water storages we are in reasonable shape considering the agriculture, urban, peri-urban and environmental flows this year and perhaps next year as well even with below average rain fall.
It make sense not to waste such a precious commodity.

xtremek it is smart and flexble indeed but the restrictions are very workable, in reality there is no issues at all, my lawns and gardens don't ever suffer..
