Thanks Strouty.

I’ve been cussed at over these, but in terms of endearment!!!

First seen them listed for $250 last week, they was 1-1/2 hrs from me.
I finally messaged for better pics as I couldn’t tell for sure what they were, didn’t quite totally hit as Lista or Vidmar, but still a close runner up.:bounce:

They sent pics along with please make a offer. Honestly, I was pretty busy over the weekend and lost track of them.

Then backing into my space at work, somehow my phone was on FB marketplace and the ad popped up with the free bench, just had to pick up by Wednesday.

I replied in less than a minute and they said I was it.

So, I’m at work, was scheduled to go across state tomorrow and now I’m concerned. I did what any self respecting tool Ho would do. I told the boss I was getting sick this afternoon and burnt a 1/2 day of sick time.

Anyway, the pictures showed them to be Equiptos.

So I asked if there’d be any help to load in back of a pickup, but the guy was limited on lifting. So it’s rush home to unload trailer, get hooked up and then meet wife for lunch.

Told her I had to run to Sarasota with trailer to pickup something and she didn’t batt a eye. Hmmmmm, if you don’t hear from me after this post, I’ve really enjoyed you all.:headscrat

So off I go and get to the house, back up the trailer and the wife said he’d be up in a minute when’s done with boat, no problem I’ll just take the top off and put in trailer.

Right!! That too is a lot heavier than I thought, it must have a piece of 3/8” plate embedded or something.

Once too in trailer, pretty easy moving cabs with handtruck up trailer ramp.

Super nice folks, selling house and just wanted to get stuff gone.

I’m going to use this as a “desk” in my small yet to be built office in my shop.

I’m thinking I’ll build a frame that will encompass both cabs with the top and n so I only will need 4 casters, but I’ll want to leave the foot well open in the front.

I may raise it up some so I can use a stool and match the window height .

What about "I ain't telling my friends Jack **** about anything I find until I have it firmly in my possession" HO, so I don't have to share in any way shape or form.
Crazy thing is I knew about it when it was still for sale. But I don't have room for it. Then when he sent me pictures today I was the one that was cussing. But really if I can't have it, at least it's got a good (?) home.

You know they’ll have a good home, I never slam a drawer shut, even when I catch one of those sharp hard corner.:lol_hitti

Mac, I actually sent this to Andrew when it came out, and Shorty was aware I was picking up cause he was drooling to trade before I was even on the road.

Craig, you're right about the kids. It's amazing how different the house is after they move out. We had to leave the country for a couple of years to get our oldest to move out.

I've actually been doing real well. I'm pretty sure I could do more but I'm taking it easy. One sheet of siding, a few wire runs and outlets and I'm done for the day. I'd rather not do a repeat just because it ***** up so much time in doctor's offices and hospitals. Not to mention riding in the suicide seat going home from the hospital.

Yep, if we can’t have it at least it’s in Florida with another GJ member.

I think it will be a great addition to the shop. You definitely scored on that one.

Thanks guys. Considering I wasn’t even looking, it’s a great find for sure.

Like I mentioned, I was thinking through the office area I want to build someday about what I’d have in there and layout. It’s only 8’x9’, so just a place to keep nicer stuff, manuals etc.

This will fit the bill nicely and provide a little desk/clean project area.

Although it won’t happen right away, I’m mentally designing a frame with casters for the unit as it was set up.

It’s 34” tall now, with 4-5” of casters, looks like it’ll end up as a stool height desk/bench.

The yellow 4” tube was part of a structure that was obsolete so I went to town on it to get what you see in picture.

Here’s a future table Ill build out of this circle.

It was a little hairy at first, but it actually rolled pretty nice through the shop.

That was nice of the seller to offer some counterweight to hold the milk crates down, I bet you can even find a use for the extra pieces

I found these on Facebook marketplace over in Melbourne Florida as I was over on this side of state for work today.

Lady that I bought from told me her husband painted something for the space shuttle years ago and this was on the rack that was carrying it the piece.

I’m going to use them on that desk base that I’ll be building in the near future. I’m not sure if they’ll support the weight or not though.

I looked up the brand and they are used primarily in the aerospace industry. Super heavy duty.

I’ll get better pictures, I picked these up and barely had time to get to my meeting

Got the NAPA cabinet on the caster frame, swapped contents of of the cabinet that I’ve been stashing stuff in for the last ten years.

I really need to quit stashing!!!

First aid in left upper door-ready for Shorty.

I like the shelves on the doors, it’ll help keep things sorted and in view.

Another piece of the floor plan in place.

Hope to get the flammable cab on a caster frame and in place in the morning.

JC don’t let him fool you. I bet I can set 3 nice shops with all he’s got.

Looking good Craig, one more piece of the puzzle in place, one step closer to starting on some cool projects.

Craig, you know you have too much when thinking about making a list of your stuff for insurance is overwhelming. If it takes more than a day just to photograph it all, you have too much stuff (says the guy who gave up after one tool chest).

I do like the fact that those casters were part of the shuttle program. i'm a huge shuttle fan and lived 35 miles from the launch pad for 18 years. even got some causeway passes back in the day. And yes sadly the sight of the challenger is burned in my mind for ever

That's a really neat cabinet!

Thanks for stopping by.

I bought the cab on a whim, kinda out of scope for my shop, but it looks like it’ll be handy.

Thanks Shorty

Three shops, **** I better get to work, I might be lite on some stuff.

That way when it catches on fire you can wheel it out!

Great minds think alike!!

Bhahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Kinda like “ does these jeans make my *** look fat”?

You’re scaring me Bob, you’re like a Alexa in my house, was just discussing getting insurance for my stuff.

It does have the neat factor, I’m planning on asking about what it was and if any pictures.

I vividly remember the day of the Challenger also.
