Lugz, this would get my nomination for PoY, for the ephemera alone. But, when magnified by 3/5 of a jeep wrench set (including a 723, I think!!!!), a Plvmb 5 band socket and the 1/4" boxes, the ****-o-Meter has to come out....WELL done!
Wait, that haul includes the 723 [emoji15]?!?
Thanks. It was definitely a 'sometimes when you least expect it' find. I had seen two really cool things (a huge Navy survival knife and a leather interwar/WWII U.S. rifle scabbard, perfect for a jeep) that were too costly for me, and I had not run into the vise guy I was hoping to run into from last week. I was on my way out. This liquidator's stuff looked like **** this week and then I spotted an old fiber suitcase and decided to look inside (which is where all the paper was)! On the ground next to it was a 1951 jerry can with the donkey **** and the sprayer and in another box a bunch of old tools. The guy wanted $10 for the can AND the spout. I felt so bad I left the can behind, told him to re-sell it, and I showed him where they were dated, and also how to identify WWII spouts vs postwar. HAHA. Karma helps! Everything was blocked by a gurney and a bunch of junk from the other side where I had come from.[WELL done!
It's a 25, 27C, and 731-A. But I have a 723, a 28-S and a 33-C, so I can make a Jeep set or a GMTK set with these.I may have spoken too quickly...will let Lugz clarify, as I can't tell for sure from the pic posted.

Smoke Which 40's catalog on the sprayer? While they have some in power tools the ones I looked at are not the housing type Lugz is?
Lugz, GREAT finds! Time well spent!
Thanks. EDIT: I saw it. SpeedInLemon's on page 2, post #23. But he didn't have any info on date or catalog page number.Found table top compressors in general garage, urs is in there.

What happened to the honing down on a few brands?!You know when you find stuff you don't collect but it follows you home?

Who makes that one?...a Palm-Grip ratchet.
You know when you find stuff you don't collect but it follows you home? One word: CRAFTSMAN.
What happened to the honing down on a few brands?!

Palm-grip appears to be its own brand.
Yeah, we were talking on the phone just last week and it was one of those obligatory mutual positive reinforcement talks between buddies to stave off an actual intervention, but we both knew it was just empty promises.![]()

The X in a circle is actually a stylized DC that Duro and Indestro used during WW2. Nice drill index. Looks familiar.Over the course of any given week, I stop by a Restore if there is one close to where I will be. 2/3 the time nothing comes of it, but sometimes you get lucky (it also helps to know which stores are any good) This is what I found over the last weeks stops:

Clevland Twist Drill index (fractional), APEX socket spinner, two Stanley Defiance chisles, and a cadmium Cornwell DBE. $10. Maybe.
And todays estate sale finds:

First stop netted three socket boxes; Master Mechanic (a Danaher company) but the sockets are more roached than I thought, a Wright box full of '20 Ray, Hinsdale and Blackhawk (plus misc.) and a partial SK Wayne. Second stop was a bust and third was very far but promising. Well, there were good tools (Proto) but they wanted top doller. So I just got the Proto driver, cutting fluid, Armstrong pin wrench, and two obstruction wrenches (X in a circle, but can't remember who that is). So I went back to the first to see what I could dig up. Found a Fleet breaker, Craftsman heritage dog-bone, Thosen metric (that I actually needed), Herbrand pliers, an Indestro ratchet, and misc. sockets. $28 for everything.
It seems to me that I’ve seen you collect a few Craftsman tools in the past. What’s up with collecting S-K?
What do you focus on?I had to get away from Craftsman. Unfortunately these prices were to good to leave behind.
I haven’t started collecting SK. I traded for some newer stuff to complete some sets for my oldest son and my son-in-law.
I love it, LS. Monthly Status Reports! What do you focus on?
Plomb mostly followed by SO and old Blackhawk.
Ahh the good stuff.Plomb mostly followed by SO and old Blackhawk.
