Oh be quiet old radar LOL I do use the Google voice typing and today before the car fell off the little trolley Jack for the second time this week also I was out in the garage when I sent it and sometimes I do not proof read my paragraphs as one should I am leaving out punctuation out again on purpose especially for you
Those run on sentences are very annoying I was talking to a woman on a dating site Oh God several years ago and she did that ran ran like two pages all together it was like say dear this is kind of hard to read here.
There you go old radar I put a period on the end off this sentence.

Not at all.
And my initial point was only to imply that it takes the author of the post a few extra moments to proofread and correct his text, but when he doesn't, everyone else has to take additional time to try to interpret the point he was trying to make.

Yeah, It's harder to read, have to read it twice.....
My pet peeve is To, Too, and Two,
When someone writes, say, "It's not to bad" well that example is not so good, but when it'd a longer sentence, and they say to instead of too, Like yeah, I like it too. I always have to read it two and three times.

Things are starting to open up here in Orygone, so I had three(!) sales to hit today. Nothing spectacular, but worthwhile notheless.
A Sears girls bike, to be used as a parts bike for a threewheeler Schwinn. $20
Second sale was a recently passed electrician who restored Model A's. Not much of interest to me, but I picked up this box for a tenner. Haven't had time to go through it fully, but I have found Starrett, Stanely, Hinsdale, Williams and a ton of brace bits. More info to come!

Right, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
Using Google "Text to speech" and using my phone to compose, I tend to make more mistakes, and Miss things.
Plus, I was Busy at the time I posted about the box, working on the car, but I wanted to show it, while I was thinking about it. Using my desktop to compose, I tend to be more OCD about mistakes, and spelling errors...............

I'll take one more whack at this
and it's not directed specifically at bubinga.Tym makes the salient point--time and its value. Let's face it. No news, photos, sales, purchases, thoughts or anything else we post on this thread is time-critical. If a poster doesn't have--or--take the time to use proper grammar, punctuation and capitalization and can't be bothered to proofread his/her work to remove extraneous or incomplete thoughts and phrases or more common spelling errors, I'm left with the irritating feeling that they failed 5th grade English and simply disgorged their random thoughts for me to compile and derive meaning from. My hackles come up because the meaning I derive is that they feel their time is more valuable than mine. Especially egregious are those folks who want advice or help but can't string a couple of coherent questions together.
Okay, I'm done.

I totally get both sides of the argument.
I'm not too fussy if something is misspelled, or the grammar isn't schoolroom perfect, but we are here to deliver our own message. If the message is hard to deal with to interpret, its that much more likely that it will be misunderstood or misinterpreted. Sentences need an end, and different topics need separated from the prior topic. That's what punctuation helps with.
Texting is texting and is what it is - generally you hit send after each "paragraph".
What you say here does two things: Delivers the message you want, and makes a statement about who and what you are. Whether you like it or not, we know you though your written words. Those words represent you.
So just to demo how it is without any sentences or paragraphs, here the same message without either:

2 Diamond horseshoes. Never seen these before but they advertise them all the time $6 for the pair.
1/2" socket set with a late pebble production ratchet. Craftsman =V=, Metcoid, bonney, and a few other brand sockets along with a couple others. Also a few Co-Op Deluxe drive tools. If anyone collects the co-op hit me up. $15
Looking for a Plomb 3061 Pebble Open End.

So as to that box of misc. I picked up yesterday, here are the contents:
It was about 15 pounds of steel, and not much of it was trash. A couple dozen punches and chisels (Proto, Craftsman, Plomb and Blue Point, among others) the same number of brace bits, drive bits both APEX and Zepher, a Starrett scribe, misc. sockets incuding Williams, D-I, and Hinsdale, Unbits, etc. Along with a nice slide rule and a analog meter for AC work. Actually surprised how much is good, though a lot of it is going to Restore. I spent ten on it, and was rewarded with more entertainment than a movie. Money well spent.

As long as we're turning the Garage Sale thread into the Pet Peeve thread, mine is excessive use of emoticons. If the GJ Genie popped out of a Magic Coleman Lantern and granted me just one wish and that wish was that he could immediately eradicate all the Poor Grammar (lack of punctuation, spelling, etc) or the Excessive Use of Emoticons, I would pick Excessive Use of Emoticons, hands down, faster than a $1 flea market sale.

Are you familiar with the concept of saturation? Youth sports trophies is a good analogy. If every post always gets even a single beer mug salute, a single thumbs up, or a single shock face, it diminishes the value of these emoticons for me. Now picture seven or eight of these on every post and imagine if everyone did that. After awhile, it's impossible to distinguish the truly toast worthy, approvable, or shocking posts. If everything is toast worthy, approvable, or shocking, nothing is. It's also too garish and frenetic for me. Like friends who are a little too jumpy and talkative for me to be around for very long. Of course, that's just one man's opinion. Like grammar and punctuation, I try to tolerate it. But after awhile, I just skip right past it. Different strokes and all that...

As Outlaw says, both good saws, but not worm drive. Also, they are corded, which isn't really popular these days. I have a corded electric lawnmower I cannot give away right now (for probably the same reason as I want to get rid of it.)

I think I remember my Dad buying the Sears one. I was shocked to see how dirty it was in the case (he was always a meticulous neat freak with his tools). I have no plans of selling this.

The Craftsman is a Sears Best, which is the equivalent to their Pro/Industrial line. Havent managed to kill mime yet, and that counts cutting stone and all other kinds of things.
