I grabbed this black oxide finish 1/4” drive ratchet on a buy-it-now since ratchets with that finish are kind of rare. It came with the diamond logo postwar extension.

Found a nice Brazil Tools midget socket box at the flea today.

If only I knew someone who had a nice Brazil carry box to put it in... :dunno:

Just picked up this guy

I haven't been able to clean it out, but it is full of Craftsman among other bits

I originally thought to use it to restore my Artisan box, but this is too complete to mess with and I think I will trade that one. Comes complete with two Aritsan ratchets.

I'm over-late in responding, but you had me at "trade"! Add that to the list of stuff I'm interested in!

Awesome! I also have a plethora of SK diamond stuff you haven't seen, so if you notice you're missing anything while you're organizing, make a list!

I was just referring to bmwrd0 finding his box full of Craftsman. My box only has one Artisan tool, the 1/2” drive ratchet.

I actually have a lot more. This is just the stuff that goes in that box, per the catalogs. I also have quite a bit of SK Wayne, WWII stuff and even more Diamond logo.

The funny thing is that I never started out to collect SK, I just find a lot of it!

Picked up this #4018 set after it had been sitting inside a home for the past 65 years. Its seems as good as new with the card inserts too. That chrome was really done well back then.

Beautiful set! Congratulations. Here is the set in the ‘56 catalog. It seems as if that is the first listing for a 1/2” drive set that excludes the crossbar.

Wowwww that is amazing. Excellent score.

I picked up this old SK tool box today, which would make a good home for my old SK collection I think..

That is amazingly clean for its age. I have seen a few or the original cards but I don't know if I have ever seen a more clean set from that era!

That is quite a bit of SK.
Mine has less Craftsman and more S-K. This was taken after I reorganized the box at the end of September.

Nice SK master set box. Those are hard to come by in good shape at least around here.

Looking for a Round Beam Plomb 1068 Double Box End Wrench

Hello SK Experts. I love this venue here. Nice work by all.

I'm buying a 1/4 inch drive , 1943 catalog numbered socket set from a good buddy. It's only missing the largest, last socket on the list. Now it has the extensions and breaker bar, which have SK trade logos , and zero part numbers on them. It's in its original OD green box, with awesome gentle patina on tools and said box.

My buddy is in his 70s, an aviation machinst/general machinst/aviation mechanic, and retired cargo jet/lear pilot. He has been a took nut since about 1962 ,and only buys nice things, and he is very knowledgeable on all Vintage tools. He firmly believes the un numbered pieces are original to this set. They all look exactly the same with respect to the finish, wear, tint, etc.

I'm not questioning him or the legitimacy of the set, ONLY if it is possible that this early of a kit would have numberless ratchet accessories.

Thanks for your time,
Shawn

Wartime sets indeed have unmarked extensions, crossbars and breaker bars. The ratchets and sockets are marked as are the spinners if they are included.

Heck Don [emoji15] I thought this was the plomb 1/4 picture for a moment but this is a different collection, and a nice one at that! Do you have any other 1/4 drive collections besides the other 2 brands mentioned?
