Hello SK Experts. I love this venue here. Nice work by all.
I'm buying a 1/4 inch drive , 1943 catalog numbered socket set from a good buddy. It's only missing the largest, last socket on the list. Now it has the extensions and breaker bar, which have SK trade logos , and zero part numbers on them. It's in its original OD green box, with awesome gentle patina on tools and said box.
My buddy is in his 70s, an aviation machinst/general machinst/aviation mechanic, and retired cargo jet/lear pilot. He has been a took nut since about 1962 ,and only buys nice things, and he is very knowledgeable on all Vintage tools. He firmly believes the un numbered pieces are original to this set. They all look exactly the same with respect to the finish, wear, tint, etc.
I'm not questioning him or the legitimacy of the set, ONLY if it is possible that this early of a kit would have numberless ratchet accessories.
Thanks for your time,
Shawn
