As of now, store #419 in Roanoke, VA has four of the yellow air hoses in stock but without a price tag. I took one to the front to confirm the price.

I also found one of the contractor cords, again without a price tag. That went home with me.

Fwiw, my buddy got that KOBALT air compressor for $127 2 years ago. He reminds me of this frequently. Go figure.

I snagged one of those 30 gallon compressors for $200 about six weeks ago. They are slowly dropping randomly at the stores, so keep an eye out. Same thing with the 60 and 80 gallon compressors.

Keep an eye out on the clearance racks down the middle isle. All of the AWP brand tool bags and pouches are clearance for about 50-75% off, I picked up the electricians bag for $5 (https://www.lowes.com/pd/AWP-Polyester-Electrician-Tool-Pouch/1001156090). Also check for Simpson ties, I got a box of these for 3 cents each, there were a few other types similarly priced, but as I just use them for random stuff around the house the flat ones seemed most versatile as I can bend them to other shapes I may need.

Note the specs on that one are 7.6 cfm @ 90 psi and may not be enough to run a sandblaster, sprayer, or larger draw air tools. 12 to 16 cfm @ 90 psi is more typical for a 60 g compressor.

The 80 g is 11.9 cfm @90 psi, a little better but still rather low for that size of compressor tank.

That compressor posted above is 11cfm @ 90psi. Go to it on Lowes site and zoom in on the 360 picture, then look at the tag. ;)

I picked up one of the $316 (less 5%) two stage compressors the afternoon. The web site said none in stock, but the in store inventory found two.

I am severely space constrained at the Arizona house, so the larger 60 gallon was not practical (I need some portability).

I had almost accepted that one of the oilless “silent” compressors would find a home in my tiny garage, but I suspect much of the “silent” part is in the intake system mufflers, which appear to be a simple helmholtz resonator, which I should be able to cobble together.. the silent compressors are generally 70 dBa or below, compared to 78 dBa for this two stage belt driven oil filled compressor.

The link says "Air Delivery SCFM @ 90PSI (CFM) 7.6" under specifications.

I do see a label on the 360 picture, but the resolution is insufficient for me to read the pressure, and it looks like an overlay. It almost looks like a CAD drawing, I'm not sure that is an actual photo of the compressor. They also may have used a different picture or a different model for the picture, the photos are not necessarily representative of the actual product, per their terms. The specifications are what they consider to be correct, but it's certainly possible the specs listed on the product page are incorrect.

If anyone gets this one, it would be interesting to measure the air flow and confirm if the published specification is correct and if it matches the label and specifications provided with the product.

I bought the Kobalt 30 gallon air compressor about 2 years ago for $400, which seemed to be a good deal, especially since at the time they were selling for over $500.

I guess if we all had a crystal ball and time to wait, our saving ability may increase. On the other side of the coin, the deals may never materialize.

This is the label I mentioned. I should have probably specified the label is visible in the 2nd 360* view picture in the lineup there.

I see a guy selling multiple new units for $500 now locally on craigslist... guess he scalped them before I could get one.

I am not sure about sharing the link from brickseek on here, but here is a picture of how it should look for you when you search.

The SureCan 5-gallon and 2.2 gallon gas cans dropped again at my store - just $5 and $4, respectively. Great deal for a great made-in-USA gas can!

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Scepter-USA-5-Gallon-Plastic-Gasoline-Can/1000772364
https://www.lowes.com/pd/SureCan-2-2-Gallon-Plastic-Gasoline-Can/1000033475

Incidentally, I noticed that my store has the Chinese gas cans they replaced the SureCans with stacked to the rafters. I checked stock at various stores and some of them have *thousands* of them in stock. WTF? Did I miss the memo about needing to store gasoline?

They had one at my local store when they dropped to just below $600. I went and looked and couldn't bring myself to buy it. Looking at the castings, it just screams "Made In China". At $300., I would suffer through looking at it but a check on Brickseek says they raised the price back to $799. :(

One local store had 2 on Brickseek, they went $399-$299-then to $199 yesterday. I could not get over there but was going to go today. Back up to $799.

I could have looked at it for $199 for sure.

So thanks to the folks who posted the compressors.

those utility knives come up as pvc pipe for me when I enter it in brickseek. That also happened with one of the air compressors. I assume that means they phased it out an reused the product number?

those calipers are also still full price by me.. wish i could find them, i could definitely use a couple more!

Where were the two way radios located? My store has 7 but no one can find them.

Sent from my SM-N960U using The Garage Journal mobile app

The radios were on one of those random hangers in the now compressor aisle. Lowes around me are moving everything around and now have the compressors in one of the aisles not with the tools.

Brickseek link for the knives. You have to use the internet number not the item or model number. The internet number is the very last set of numbers on the address link.

Do you have the five gallon? The reviews are pretty bad for a gas can. Just curious if it is that hard to use.

Oops - just noticed that my link for the 5 gallon went to the new Scepter brand instead of the clearance SureCan. Here is the correct link for the 5 gallon SureCan:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/SureCan-5-Gallon-Plastic-Gasoline-Can/1000033473

The reviews are pretty great. The only bad reviews I see are people complaining about the spout breaking. I don't know if these people have misused them, but they come with a 3-year warranty. Also, unlike Chinese products, you can actually purchase replacement parts directly from the manufacturer. A replacement spout costs $8.
