I have had some Atlas products for about 5 years so far. They have been very good to me.

How high is that Atlas lift? What ceiling height do you need?

Okay, times up ;) Any pictures yet?

I got this last year, as the fulfillment of a lifelong goal. It has turned out even better than I thought it would.

That must be everyone's first__and lasting__impression!

We never knew what we were missing, and it sure would be hard to go back to working without one. I think the biggest risk, at least for me, would be falling asleep once I got comfortable on the floor.

The lift is 13’-6” my ceilings are 14’-3”

Oh, that's a tall one! Granted, if someone over 6' wanted to stand straight up under a tall (truck or van-like) vehicle, the height would be required. But most overhead type 2-post lifts only require 12'.

Always good to have a little safety margin, as the ceiling in my detached garage is 12'4" from the floor to under the sheetrock.

I would eventually, that picture was taken less than a month after relocating from Ohio to Florida. It took me over a month to get moved in, unpacked and set up to work again, considering the numerous aspects of moving in and unpacking the house took precedent ;)

It would be another whole month before that car would be finished, and I could start chipping away on the waiting list!

My C7000 is in my new shop. It won't be moving so I went with regular 3/4" 5.5" anchors vs the powerserts. 04187958a0f099fb0109e2cc76b20f6b.jpg453852bafcc9ffacc3bafe4abeda4abb.jpg

I completed the install of my Advantage DX-9000-XLT 4 post lift last month and have just gotten around to using it! (Too many outdoor chores around the yard, before the snow flies!) But I am loving it.
lift-1.jpg
This design with the "boxed in" vertical guides, is so sturdy... no wobble at all. And I can attach the optional casters and reposition it when needed.
lift-2.jpg
The guys that helped me with the install had never worked with an Advantage lift before and they were constantly pointing out design features that they liked, compared to other brands.... cable retention pins, pivoting end flaps, gusseted aluminum ramps...
lift-3.jpg
I am finding a slight issue with the lack of ground clearance that most of my vehicles have! The approach ramps are barely long enough to allow my lowered STI to load without scraping. and once on board the rolling hydraulic jack trolley is really tricky to maneuver and place under appropriate jacking locations.
But now I'm ready for some transmission work on my latest chariot...!

Completed a nice little upgrade today.
Lighting the underside of a vehicle is always a compromise and I have been looking for a way to supply a nice ambient light to compliment the LED work lights that I have been using up to now.
I have seen commercially available "kits" online, but none of them looked adequate and all of them were very expensive. So I bought a 50" LED rope with bright white LED's and attached them to my Advantage lift using industrial velcro patches.
I am pleased with the results.
IMG_2423.jpg

I wasn't sure if the velcro would hold securely but I made sure I cleaned the metal surfaces well and I wiped down the LED rope string with a wax removal solution before I attached it. And the result appears to be very stable.
I think it turned out well and at a fraction of the cost of any kit. I ended up spending less than $50 for the entire setup.
IMG_2417.jpg

With this arrangement, the entire ramp area is lit and I can roll both jack platforms back and forth with no obstruction.

Here's my Forward Lift DP10A. I sold my Bendpak 4 post because it didn't serve me to keep it in my new shop. Excuse the mess. I'm still finishing the build.

Here's my Forward Lift DP10A extended height. The install was,was done by me after the son-in-law help stand the columns. I decided on it after looking one over at a local chevrolet dealership. I'm very pleased so far.

Garage is 80% complete when this pic was taken. Currently all insulation is installed and sheet rock started. The lift is a Challenger rated at 10,000 lbs

JC Taylor, that is a deluxe setup/garage you have there.....kudos!

Mine....not so much, but it is a Nussbaum 7000 lb 7 ft scissor that's perfect for servicing my track/street car. Poor planning that I got it after finishing the restoration, but hey - glad I have it. Getting over 40" of lift inside the car shelter, probably get 48 once I slide the high bay lights over a bit.

Picked it up used from a Mercedes Benz dealership, needed to make up a few hydraulic hoses and the 240V wiring; got some adaptors, 14 qts of hydraulic fluid and bingo. My buddy from the Mustang club is a hoist service tech/millwright so I had proper supervision.

Well thank you! It looks like you have been very resourceful and to have that setup under a car shelter, that is impressive. I have been working on stuff outside on the front apron for a long time and I finally had a garage built! Really good idea to source the lift from a dealership.

Here some pics of my Advantage SXS in the back garage and the Advantage in the new shop. :rocker: Both were purchased slightly used from local sellers, too!

The Double lift is holding up my '50 Chrysler Windsor 2 door (54k miles all original) and my '64 Riviera (32k miles all original) until I do some minor maintenance to get them roadworthy again.

Not really a lift per se, but it is a new addition to the shop, and it does support a car (rated at 4500 Lbs)...

Titan 4500. I'm stoked!

Made short work of removing fifty-four (54) year old undercoating.

Also painting the inside of the roof with Chassis Saver (a rust conversion coating).

I wish I would have created some type of rotisserie for my car. Homemade dolly is a little sketchy when transporting on a trailer
