New Construction and need epoxy advice

I just moved into a new construction and the floor is down already. While it doesn't look like it is sealed yet, I have not tested it with water. Anyways, from my inquiries, it isn't sealed but will check tonight.

Any advice on what is best to use to epoxy the garage? I am doing it to make oil spills easier to clean up and look better in general. I work on my car and truck there so it will have to take some scuffing.

I was advised to stay away from the water based stuff and stick with solvent based. Is there any brand more favored than the other and why?

I tried to skim thru the replies and posts but ended up more confused. Any help is appreciated. TIA

Oh, one more thing, I forgot to mention. While I said "epoxy", I am not married to any brand or even epoxy itself if someone can come up with a better sealant

It appears that you're researching a 2 part epoxy - good choice. You might want to consider Wolverine Coatings floor products. We have quite a few satisfied Garage Journal members who report back that they've had very good results with our system. I'm not sure why someone told you to stay away from waterborne epoxies... We've sold millions of square feet without issue (there are always some bad applications, of course!). You can learn more about SUPERCOAT here:

My bad. I think they were referring to the store bought ones like Behr and others that are waterbased.
