Phantom,

I've just been perusing your thread. Great progress on the garage, it looks really well put together and organized. I love all the storage, I'm hoping my shop will end up having that level of storage. I really like your hardware cabinet, I'll probably do something similar now that I've seen yours. I also love the stuff hanging on the walls, like the maps and off-road type stuff. Really sets the mood, so to speak.

Also, as a fellow off-road guy, I'm really impressed by your Bronco build. That's a really cool rig. Would love to see some pics of it on the trail if you've got em.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I'm sure he's there puttering around the garage with you.

Got no words other than sorry for your loss.....
Thank you both, he was a great man I shall miss, but cant ever forget the fact he’s no longer suffering from Dementia and last weeks stroke.
My soon to be fiancee knows full out I do not want to be on life support or in a nursing home unless it really provides quality for life for me, never a vegetable!

As further cleaning and reorganing goes, seperated short short cut offs, and short cutoffs into milkcrates and a 5 gallon pail to lighten up the steel rack…..still not confident in the casters….

also got my chain saws and tire skates off the floor too. Bonus the floor jack fits back there too!

now wish that guy whos got a parts washer up for sale would respond to his messages on FB, I need one!

First things to do to the inside of that shed is some LED fixtures and some bug traps, its a haven for moths.

then it’s knock down some shelves for tire storage And put a can crusher out there for my sister, hopefully she won’t be too lazy to use it.

I will also be using the storage ‘lockers’ for fishing gear, and garden tools.

well got home from the Great Beater Challenge last weekend and immediately went to work on regaining floor space. Repurposed my steel rack into a diff rack! Buddy needs his engine crane back now he wants to scrap our beater but keep the slant six out of it so I told him I will do a drive back one Saturday damn soon but also dropping off the engine stand too. The 351 Roller block will be dropped off at my other buddies place for a run thru the steam washer. I very well may make a lower engine stand and use it as a coffee table for now.

Since my steel rack became my diff rack I had to whip up a new steel rack. This time I can hold 4x7 sheets on the back side. So need to add more rungs but it will do for now. Not bad for 40$ in wood and 50 for casters. Waiting for the GF to go to work so I can put what sheet I have on the backside.ABC97B66-1324-4EAB-9EF9-16DBC698EA3A.jpegA9C955B4-9F2C-49AD-976E-23B83E551419.jpeg

Sorry guys, I tend to come to GJ on the weekends now.

got the twice a year PM done on the car, now I know I will need brake pads when the winter tires go on.
GF’s car will be done on my next friday off as I want her good tires put on her aluminum rims and keep the steelies for winter tires but she’s not in a rush for that. Truck will wait til October at the earliest. Waiting on finding a replacement motor for the 500ho quad….

So I guess I get some bronco time in this weekend!

True self sufficiency has come back, Heading up to the capital later this week with my old half ton with its underpowered 302 to come home with this instead. 2012 Ram3500 with the 6.7. Can’t wait to take it to the shop to have everything deleted then tuned. I will also be adding in a 4 or 5” turbo back exhaust with no cat. Also plan to sell off the black rims for some polished aluminum rims and 33-35“ Duratracs. I will be able to freight train my trailers now instead of hoping I can make it up the next hill.DF0E16B6-B981-4E05-BC7E-6C79EEC53764.jpeg

Do you already have the parts and a tune? All that stuff is getting harder and harder to come by with all this EPA crack down BS. Especially reputable tunes, like the actual tune file not the hardware.

Already hating the 5” turbo back exhaust with its useless ‘muffler’ and 8” tip that’s stuffed up under between the rear diff and spare tire. I like my exhaust to have a throaty rumble at cruising speeds at the most, as well enter out the side Where I can see the coal exit.

keeping the black rims for now but will be wrapped in 35x12.5-18 Duratracs, studded of course.

right now all I done Is put Dickie seat covers up front and the same in a rear seat protectors for the dogs. Looking at one new fender, fender flares and kick back flaps.

Ripped down my moms rotten deck, last thing we need is a 85 year old woman with a Broken hip. all the old boards and stringers were rotten. This is where I sit, will stop by a few nights this week to get the boards down and BBQ back up.

now she’s settled in with this new town after 45 years of living in her first house with my dad (RIP) it’s time for her to be able to enjoy the 330 days of sunshine we get. plans are a hardtop gazebo and flower boxes where the gazebo isn’t to be. 20 foot ramp as well which she’s happy with as it will drop her right out into the middle of the yard.4FB0A2E3-B3DC-4B73-9C76-57ED6B870309.jpeg

Using our new fire pit (I love having my girl working at Home Depot!) and a load of Ash wood last night. Seems every week that passes by there is another 8 square feet missing from the back yard…. Third world problems, eh!E15293A7-E9BC-4F6A-B1D4-4BC3A05A620E.jpeg

Starting to snow here, but it’s a nice wet snow which I will appreciate since we need the moisture.

fold down bed made to suit my memory foam top and sleeping bag.

been buttoning up more of the lights (need to buy a replacement string since I pinched the right side)
and power of the mini toyhauler before my first trip winter camping with it next month.so far I am solar powered battery fed invertor to a power bar.

need to drill a hole later this week for the external plug for my gennie if need be. But right now YouTubing the hell out of my diesel heater to be installed.

Added in a drain to control the snow melt puddles from the daily driver. Drilled down 21” then slid a capped 2” piece of ABS with weep holes drilled at the bottom 4”. Siliconed at the top and capped.

tempted to do 3 more on each corner of the DD side. Well worth the 80$ rental for the weekend.
