Above 1200 Sq/FT Metal frame building with quanset style lean to

Yeah that's the theory I was thinking of. I was wanting to use free standing arches though, without any framing. I have also thought about shipping containers to be the outside walls and running a straight panel roof over to them. With the price of concrete, who knows if I will even get...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Metal frame building with quanset style lean to

I bought a used steel building frame that I would like to make a wider building out of. My idea is to add a lean to. Looking at the cost of stick building the trusses and posts, then adding the sheeting has me now thinking about a hybrid lean to. I was thinking of having quonset half arches bent...

    Menard's Deals Permathread!

I just found this thread Lot's of good info. I saw the 72" masterforce box and I thought it was a great box for the money $1500. I had been looking at the HF 72" box $1199. I never pulled the trigger on the HF box because I know I used to see them on sale at times for $999, so I waited. While...

Just curious. I wanted to do this same thing. I looked at the Sonos speakers and thay are a fortune. Will the bluetooth link up multiple sets of bluetooth receivers. I have a 5000 sq' shop and I wanted to set up speakers in about 6 or eight locations so I do not have to blast from one corner...

    wish I would have....

I wish I had... MORE TIME to spend in the garage MORE MONEY to spend in the garage Built my garage when I was younger. I bought a used steel building off of craigslist. It had 12 ' eves. I put it up on a 2 foot stem wall to make it 14' at the eves and re framed the door openings so I could get...

    Help me understand Pole Barns

The other advantage of pouring the floor afterwards is that you do not have to build forms. The wall sheeting is the edge of the form.

    40x40x16 with 16' loft

Add a lift and position your doors to make things easily accessable. If you can swing it, put a bathroom in. You will like it as well as your wife will appreciate you not tracking grease in with dirty hands. Do the small stuff. Plumb airlines with convienent locations. Place compressor somewhere...

    Looking For Narrow Two-Post Lift......

There is a thread on one post lifts on here. Maybe that would be better for you as the garage could be wide open without the second post. The real bonus is you can always get out the door with out the second post. I would consider one myself if my trucks were not so heavy.

    What kind of saw?

Budget choice is an inexpensive bandsaw. Abrassive chop saw second place in budget class. Second place is due to the mess and sparks that you need to be careful of. The abrasive wheels are the down side of these saws as they decrease in size as they wear down and will not allow for a deep...

Got a Two-Post Lift...? Tell Me About It, Lets Create a Buyers Guide!!

Maybe I should post this in electrical, but it seems to me that no one talks about this simple upgrade. When wiring the lift add another plugin on the colunm for 220. This way you can bring your welder over to the car on the lift or to the center of the garage, etc.

Resources on building a pole barn

I am building a 50x100 red iron building south of you in Colorado. I say go ahead and build it if you can. I put up 99% of the rediron with no help. The sheeting is another story. I am using the large rolls of insulation. positioning the insulation and the sheeting over the top of it is a pain...

Got a Two-Post Lift...? Tell Me About It, Lets Create a Buyers Guide!!

I recently ordered a 15,000 lift from American Automotive Equipment. They had a special price on it, they would send out email updates on their specials. It was 3360.00 shipped. I did not recieve it. At 4 weeks I called and they said it should be there soon as it usually takes 5 weeks. So my...
