Looking to buy, Prentiss No. 50 Bull Dog Static Vise Body. My rear mount is broke off and I’m missing a vise jaw pad. Can anyone help me get this vise back in action?! Thanks!
Well like we've said it's regional... can vary by state and location. Most of the time it's a simple issue of a dealer wanting to buy at wholesale prices so they can sell for 5x what they paid. Example... I had a restored Wilton 600 (it had new jaws from Kevin Scott installed). One guy near me...
Indeed it's crazy how prices vary... talking with a guy in Arizona and he gets $150 - $250 for working forge blowers. Nothing is the same across the board when it comes to prices.... Here I have a time getting $100 for one working. The post vise is complete "original spring" and includes the...
Wurth is indeed some amazing stuff! I've used the undercoating on several vehicle restorations and it will hold it's own!
Here's where I've ordered Wurth Products from within the US.

Make me an offer... I hadn't really thought of a price Just yet... My thoughts right now are to go through it and give it a fresh greasing before I list it.
You could say it works (for it still threads) but I'm just not crazy about the half-missing threads.
As on some Reed vises, are there other Athol vises that share the same main screw/spindle? Surely, someone else has been down this road before...
Hey everyone I recently picked up an Athol 614 1/2 Vise and I've currently got it torn down to rebuild so I can put it into use. Does anyone out there have Athol main screw/spindle they want to sell? Half my threads are good while the other half are pretty corroded. Let me know! Thanks in advance!
Can anyone help me? I'm trying to adjust the end play within the active jaw on a Reed 3C Vise. I'm also searching for a Reed 3C split-ring locking collar nut.
Can anyone provide me a tip on how to properly adjust the end play in a REED 3C active vise jaw? So what's happening is it takes a couple of turn to imitate the opening of the active jaw or in turn you can pull the active jaw about an 1/8 of an inch open.
Sure thing... I'll measure the vise this evening. It dwarfs my wilton bullet but since its going on the welding table, I figured better to have and not need than to need and not have... besides, everyone needs a big vise!
Thanks all! I've been to this site many of times and said, I need to sign up! I figured the REED 3C would be a good conversation starter since I just picked it up! Now to get her bolted down and put into action!
