Home DIY. I have a 41in box, but I hate the 14.5 inch depth drawers. I wouldn't necessarily move it much, if at all, so that's not a downer for me. I just don't want to overspend on a used box
I found a Cornwell Mobile Work Center on Craigslist, and I'm trying to decide if it's both a good deal and a worthwhile investment.
The box, part number CTBMM800RD, list for $2300 new though I'm sure it's cheaper off the truck. I've found one around 1 year old in great shape for $1200 cash...
Nice find!!
I have that same CH pump on my Speedaire 5Z404. Mine has a 5hp motor and only puts out 17.3 cfm at 175psi compared to your compressor. My pump also shuts off at 120psi and kicks back on at 85psi or so, and I've yet to need more than that for home use.

I've been watching for a good deal to come along, and I finally scored an air compressor to fit my needs.
A 1992 model 5Z397b. It is an 80gal tank with a Lesson 5hp motor turning a Made in USA CH two stage pump. It puts out 17.1 cfm @ 175psi, but I can't find any specs on it at 40psi and 90...
I'm awaiting more pictures tomorrow of the motor tag and the different side shots of the entire compressor. I'll upload them after I receive them.
With it being 3 phase, it might not be worth it to me since I'll be buying it on faith and the dollars could add up quick if danger lies ahead. I'm...
Here is an Atlas Copco that I found today while searching online. I called the seller about it, and he bought it at auction a few weeks back and never used it. I suspect it is 3 phase power even thought the seller says the motor is a 208/230 single phase. It's a 10hp Baldor so I'm thinking it...
That will be too small. It looked bigger in the pictures...lol
I hope to hunt down a 15-17cfm compressor for sandblasting, DA'ing, and general painting. I'm just trying to avoid the newer off shore stuff.
Thanks,
Kerry
I appreciate the help. I'm still on the look out for a vintage compressor. I hope to find something that will be different and quality for a long time.

He's actually asking $200obo, but has signaled he's willing to go low to get rid of it. I was thinking if it just needed the compressor that was fine, but I was concerned about all the surface rust regardless of what he said.

I found a Kellogg somewhat local to me that I'm going to look at this morning. I don't have a model or part numbers yet, but I do have a couple of pictures. It still runs so I'll be able to check things out, but unsure of what I'm looking at regarding HP and possible CFM output.

Correct you are on the bucket cover...LOL.
Thanks for the help. Based on your comments, I'll take a pass. I just wanted to check to make sure I wasn't bailing on something special.
Thanks!!
I found this compressor online, but I don't have a lot of confirmed information on it. This is what I know so far after conversing with the seller.
1960s (?) Speedaire compressor
says 5HP 2 stage
Says it was plugged into regular 220V outlet (didn't know what 3 phase was)
80gal or 120gal tank...
It's difficult to tell from the pictures, but the defect doesn't appear to be solvent popping to me. I'd expect the area to be much tighter and less surface distortion. It appears there is indeed depth inside the center which is more consistent with contamination of some sort.
Is it possible...
