    Trailer Tires

I tow various trailers I own quite a bit. I had an 18ft trailer that I only ran trailer tires on, brand new fresh from manufacture trailer tires. I had way more flats that you can imagine and I am very religious about pressures etc. I bought a used GN trailer that had 16" Goodyear Wrangler Truck...

Not too big not too small mini split ?

In the summer I will never turn it off....I'll just set it to 77 and leave it. In the winter the hydronic will keep it at 50 in there all teh time, then if I have "help" I will bump it to 65 or 70 so they don't get cold. Max time running at the 65-70 will be 5 hrs, then it will be shut off until...

Not too big not too small mini split ?

I've been reading all the Mini-split discussions I can. My question is this, My garage is 28x40 and 12' tall walls with open trusses. 4" of styro in walls and approx 2.25" of closed cell on ceiling, 2" under slab, no windows, 2 insulated roll ups, 1 insulated walk-in door. I am heating with and...

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

My local store (Parkersburg WVa) had a memo on the door saying they had to have original coupons. That said the guy at the counter used the 20% coupon they had there that I did not have. Scored a 20 ton shop press and a nice tool box....gotta love that place !!!

    insulation

Some of the quotes I have received for spray foam have been cheaper than I could do it myself. The OP was concerned about the cost of foam board at $20 a 4x8 sheet.... Spray foam will be out of his budget. I would do one of the 2, Spray foam or Ridgid foam board at least 2" thick. Preferably...

    floor heat disappointments?

Using torpedoes instead of floor heat makes no sense and can't be cheaper unless something is wrong. Kerosene around here as more than gas. My heater will run for a little over 2 hrs on 1 gallon. For that size shop if heating it all the time that would be a bigger expense than the propane. It...

    Hydronic electric cost per month

The Dow Blue Board (XEPS) is R-5 for 1" and I have 4" so it is R-20 in the walls up to 4'. I think premierplayer has the . in the wrong place LOL Then I am using the white EPS from there to the ceiling. It has an R value of 3.85 per inch. Making the walls from 4' to 12' R-15.4. Each sheet was...
