    Yet another compressor wiring queston

Thanks guys. Very informative. I think I have what I need to get this thing hooked up.

    Yet another compressor wiring queston

It's a discontinued CH compressor. Model #VT627505AJ. The labels are identical to the attachments. I'm guessing 3.2HP.

    Yet another compressor wiring queston

So what size breaker am I looking at needing and do I need to hardwire this to a disconnect or can I put a plug on it and use a receptacle?

    Yet another compressor wiring queston

I just inherited a 60 gal compressor (CH VT627505AJ) and need to know what's required to wire it up. Label says 240V/15A/60Hz/1PH. I believe it has a 3.2 HP motor.

Melted large (blue) wire nut: No breaker trip

Well... IMO those two appliances should not be able to be on the same circuit anyway. The push in Wago connectors are awful. The lever nuts on the other hand are awesome. I will never use a wire nut again.

    Panel upgrade?

Tell me more about this harness. I'm looking to move my panel out of my master closet and into the garage. The closet shares a wall with the garage and the meter base is on the exterior wall directly behind my current panel. Panel will end up about 8 feet from where it is now.

    Sealing wall Recepticles

Seal up every penetration in the wall that you can get to. I had a similar issue until I foamed the holes where the wire entered the top plates. I also caulked the boxes to the drywall. Made a big difference.

    Arc Fault protection

Box size and wire folding is important, but also ditch the wing nuts and get some Wago lever nuts. There's no dealing with the PITA of twisting wires, they don't come off, and are re-usable if you need to make changes later. I will never use a wire nut again.

    Circuit Breaker Tracing Experience

I learn something new everyday. I have a circuit tracer (not Klein) and never would have thought to plug it into a surge protector. I just mapped out my house and always plugged it directly into the receptacle in the wall.

Max number of wires for wire nuts?

Wago ++++ They have a new version that's even smaller.

    Paint/drywall expert - opinion needed

I've been in a similar situation and found it faster and easier to just replace the drywall and start from scratch.

    Wago 221

I just bought some 222s and really like them. Here's a pic of a couple with a nickel for reference.

    Electrical issue has stumped me!

Thanks for the help/suggestions! There IS a GFCI on this branch and it has to be before the receptacle in question. The one with the ground to neutral only has one cable of 12/2 in the box. I've made up my mind not to waste another minute troubleshooting this mess. I'm going to rip it all...

    Electrical issue has stumped me!

Alright guys, I have a circuit that services a bedroom/bathroom/hallway that shows Hot/Gnd reversed on my little outlet tester. I found this when replacing an outlet and noticed that it was wired incorrectly (Gnd connected to neutral). I wired it correctly THEN the problem showed up! It kills...

Panel move & house re-wire questions

A little background: My house was built in 1969 and is 95% aluminum wiring. No issues so far, but I want to re-wire with copper. In the process I want to ditch the original panel in my bedroom closet and install a new one in the garage (see attached diagram). I have experience running and...
