if i mount my heater higher than the fuel tank, will the pump on the heater **** the fuel or will i need to ad a pump??

is there anything wrong with building a pole barn in a sandy area? ive heard all sorts of opinions from local builders and there all different. some say use a cement plug, some say don't worry about it, one suggested trenching for the poles and set the poles on a 4x6. what do you guys think?
