    Compressor tank drains

I'm just now fixiing to install my compressor and 2 tanks in the crawlspace. I've got a switched 220 outlet in the crawlspace that is switched from the shop. The tanks will be about 4ft below the shop. I've got both of the tank drains teed together. I figure on running the drain out in...

    Daddy's 3/8 Plomb socket set

There weren't many of the sockets left. But the ratchet and the box for the set were all still there.

    Daddy's toolbox

This photo may not show up well enough, but it's of my Daddy's original Plomb toolbox that he bought (full of tools) sometime in the 40's. In theory the photo is attached.

    Plomb is this it?

Sorry, but I can't get you photos or such for a while. I'm currently moving everything in to a new house. Nothing spectacular, but I'll end up with a 900 sq ft garage with 10.5 ft ceilings. Then when I'm done moving, I'm off to Alaska until the end of July. So after that, I can assist. LKG

    Plomb is this it?

This is good information. I've often wondered about my Daddy's tools, which I now have. He must have been feeling flush in the 30's or 40's. 3/8 drive, 1/2 drive. A bunch of wrenches. Plus, I still have the Plomb tool box that they came in.

    Garage moisture/condensation

New construction. 900 sq ft. with 10.5 ft ceilings. Insulated panels with R-24 walls and R-38 ceilings. Eastern Wa. I'm going with a Reznor 30,000 btu direct vent heater. Combustion air is sourced from outside the garage. The area will be kept at maybe 35 degrees in the winter, and...

    9' high garage door openers

I would like to install both of my garage door openers. I've installed a few over the years and it's not very tough. These doors are 9'X9'. I'll probably go with a chain drive. Who makes the 9' openers? Do they just offer an extension to the track, or can you buy a one-piece 9'track...

    Floor pulling point

I can't find the previous thread on this. It related to what I call "floor pulls" Devices that can be put in the floor prior to pouring the floor. A point that one can attach a comealong to and move heavy items across the floor. I believe that someone said that JC Whitney manufactured...

    30,000 or 45,000 btu's

I've decided to go with the Modine Hot Dawg. Now the decision is how big. This is going to be a super-insulated building of SIPs construction. R26 walls with R-50 in the roof. 900 sq feet with 10.5' ceilings. (2) 9' garage doors and not many windows. This is in E. Washington, where a...

    Low temperature thermostat

Thanks for the clue on littlegreenhouse.com. The Rancor digital looks to be the way to go.

    how many BTU's?

I'll be dealing with 900 sq ft. The walls will be SIPs construction with R-26 insulation value. 10.5 ft ceiling height. And probably about R-48 in the attic. How many BTU heater should I install. I'm looking at Natural gas fired Rexnor or Modine. This is located in E. Wa. It can get...

    Low temperature thermostat

I need a low temperature thermostat to control my garage heater (either a Modine or a Reznor) So far I've found nothing that has a set temperature of less than 45 degress. I'd like a minimum set point of 35 degrees. Any clues?? Thanks, LKG
