Hellfire with HD39 Densifier - no vapor barrier

Ok great! I just didn’t want to be an issue for adhesion or curling. It’s only 3 weeks at this stage and doesn’t look quiet dry enough yet but I’ll do the moisture test in a week after this great warm weather we’re having here in NC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hellfire with HD39 Densifier - no vapor barrier

So a horrible realization came to me that I forgot to ask for a vapor barrier and now the concrete is already poured... So I want to seal the floor. I was already intent on using Hellfire for the floor since I’ll be working on cars and welding so that rules out epoxy etc. But I’m wondering if...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT 30x40 Pole Barn Build in NC

Thanks for the compliments all! Yeah it really is amazing how quick they knock these up, that’s the beauty of pole barns. The missus picked the colors, was worried it might be a little bright... But I think it turned out great! It’s my metal/car fabrication workshop so I’ll be installing a...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT 30x40 Pole Barn Build in NC

Hi everyone, just finished up the 30x40 pole barn here in NC. This is actually my second build in the last few years since we moved a year after building the last one... but hey, the three year wait was worth the extra size! Started out with having to demolish what we referred to as the “murder...

Thoughts on MR Cool DIY 24K on Garage Mahal

I installed a Mr Cool DIY 18k after Ingrams recommended that size for my garage - 32x22x12 with R19 walls and R30 ceiling. Worked great, was easy to install and best part is it comes pre-charged. I’m based in NC so I don’t have crazy cold winters but the humidity in summer is real, and the unit...

    900sq ft and $500

My biggest regret on my old garage was not putting epoxy on the ground. Oil etc still marked the concrete and didn't just wipe off. Maybe I didn't get the Ghostshield down right but I wished i was working on epoxy, not concrete. I would have even preferred paint. Ive moved house since... Sent...

    GLTHFJ60's Garage Expansion, Phase 1

That's the one! With all the **** I've been going through with this build I wasn't going to jinx it by posting photos before the final sign-off, but it should be this week, should be... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

    GLTHFJ60's Garage Expansion, Phase 1

Talk about a small world GLTH, I just saw this thread and realized I live 3 houses down from you! Me and the missus just had our garage built, the white house across the deputy's 'compound'. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

Ever do something so stupid you wonder if you should be left unsupervised?

One day me and a mate, after a few drinks decided to make a burn barrel. Being as my mate has next to no tools (that's another conversation...) we decided the best tool to poke holes in the barrel was a shovel! So he starts swinging at it, I'm standing drink in hand supervising. A few swings...

A safety reminder, I learned the hard way.

Was wearing my normal glasses for vision which I thought had pretty decent protection. They dont!! Still had to get a bit of metal removed, lucky it was the white part, whatever that bit is called. Get prescription safety glasses if you have to, or just get your eyes lasered like I just didn't...

    You should get a lift.

I'm in the building stage right now if my garage. Looking at the Mohawk site they're talking about 12'8" width from post to post which seems excessive! I see you set yours more narrow, what width is that? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

    Seeking input for wiring plan

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, definitely some things I hadn't thought of. Just found out the electrician was only installing a 50amp service. Saw 2x50amp on the contract, come to learn that's for 220v 50amp, not 100amp service! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
