My die grinder has a RPM adjusting screw. It has a NAPA label on it. The outside screw holds the adjusting tight so I loosen the outside screw, adjust the inside screw to correct RPM and tighten outside screw. (See Photo)

I don't recall ever seeing a drill press that did not have the slots or openings in a drill press base. My Rigid floor model has two slots that are rectangular shaped with a larger square at one end. (See Bad Quality Picture) Also, I have never seen anything attached to those openings. Thanks...
