    Harbor freight router table??

I'm thinking a simple MDF top mounted to a workmate. Here's a question, are most router bases the same bolt pattern? I'm a machinist and I'm thinking I could make an aluminum insert for the table top.

    Harbor freight router table??

I think I need a router table.....I had plans of building one but that has not happened as of yet. It would see pretty light use, mainly for rounding corners. I was thinking about ordering the HF unit, has anyone got any experience with them? I'm hoping they are a diamond in the rough like a...

    Workshop 88

How did I miss the new addition? Looks great! We have an xlo at work and it has been a good reliable machine for many years. I'd recommend a vfd to convert your mill rather than a new motor.

    A stove pipe question

It worked out ok, lighter ga would have been better, it would have tightened up nicer. As usual though I got by with what I had on hand. Stove works great, drafts like a champ. Vast improvement over the old one.

    A stove pipe question

Someone said instead of bricks just leave my floor Jack under there to make it easy to clean the pipe. Nice, he was an engineer too.

    A stove pipe question

Thanks guys. Me, you aren't the first person to suggest setting it up on blocks, I do appreciate the advice! The telescoping pipe would be perfect but the local hardware store didn't have one nor did their supplier. They had a draw collar in galvanized but were unable to get one in black. I...

    A stove pipe question

I just acquired a new wood burner. My chimney goes strait up through the ceiling and roof. Here is my question, how can I install the pipe from stove to ceiling without removing (lifting) chimney? Do I need to add elbows to give me some wiggle room to assemble the pipe?

how to hang heavy things in a garage??

I made a beam by sandwiching 3 2x6s and it just lays across the ceiling joists. I drilled a hole through the sheeting and dropped a chain through. Chain is wrapped around beam and bolted. No problem hanging deer from it

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

I get along great with my neighbors. We don't sweat the small stuff. Pole sheds aren't small stuff. Take care of it before it's an issue.

    Rant on lathe seller

Good lord! Whenever selling something I am sure to point out the flaws. I at least avoid the "I drove all this way and didn't know about that scratch, I'll give you half" That guy needed an *** whooping.
