    Cantilever Toolbox Thread

This box goes to hell and back with me six or seven days a week and never let me down, but she's starting to show it. Found a half can of herculiner from some previous project. Figured why not. Hopefully she gets a little more life from it. It is the Homak industrial that I believe is the same...

What do you use your 16" Channellock pliers for?

I own a good half dozen of varying brands. I work in, well right now I guess you would just call it Ag. Use them all the time for turning round things. Oversize rounded adjusting hardware. Pipe fittings, valves. Adjusting hot things. Carrying hot things. Pulling on springs. Bending metal...

    Extension Recommendations

You can if one brand or the other has a thicker extension or a different material. Like you guys said even 1/32" makes a difference. Just make a recommendation of a solid extension. If you think every brand has identical extensions you have had a vastly different experience than me. To answer...

    hammerdrill,impact driver,drill/driver

Get yourself a combo kit that includes both an impact driver and a hammer drill. Plenty of them on sale this weekend. If you head over to toolguyd.com they have pretty well layed out some of the best deals on them.

    hammerdrill,impact driver,drill/driver

Drill driver just spins. Good for general drilling and some screwing applications. Hammer drill has the same functions as a drill/driver plus the addition of a mode that both spins and hammers. This is good for drilling in masonry and concrete. The impact driver just spins, put it spins I'm...

    harbor freight sales

Had the itc membership for one year because the person at the register pointed out that I would save more than the price of the membership when buying a set of SAE and MM impact sockets. Used it like once after that. HF is over an hour and a half away so I only go if I'm in town for work. Most...

Milwaukee Tool: on Amazon and American jobs

Believe he was talking specifically in terms of contractors offering their services through Amazon now that they offer contractors to do in home installs of products. Just like Milwaukee had to deal with Amazon swelling counterfeit batteries, contractors will have to deal with Amazon offering...

Another Impact driver vs impact wrench question

Yeah I had the Bosch idh182(?) And it was nice, only the hood ring didn't retain sockets worth a damn. Seemed more geared toward construction trades where it would be awesome for doing the occasional anchors and tightening your floor plates. If you're looking at Milwaukee pretty much every...

    Screwdriver comparison

I have dozens of wera drivers. None of them made in Germany. All from Czech Republic. That being said it makes no difference to me and still love them for the price. Semi-relevant to the thread KCTool has 20% off everything right now so it's a great time to buy if you want to try any German...

Proto 90-Tooth Precision Pear Head Ratchets

Yeah scuffs pretty easy. Not any more than any of my other ratchets. My only real dings are when some ****** decided he was going to borrow it and hammered on the head to get a socket onto a bolt instead of taking the socket off first.

    MAC antivibe ball peen anyone?

I've been using a $20 Stanley graphite hammer and a $10 Napa hammer that I love both of but I would like a steel handle because my hand eye coordination isn't great and they are all torn up pretty bad. Almost bought that proto set but then remembered I only use one hammer, the biggest one, and...

    Tool rolls. Anyone use them?

Made this one from the only usable piece of a Milwaukee too kit and the least usable piece of a Bosch tool kit with some seat belt like strapping for the hems. Only issue is I got too carried away trying to make it indestructible and it's too bulky.

Tool to grab/retain Romex in 4" well down pipe

If it's either that or 13k it might not be a bad idea to buy a $50 security camera and a 500' roll of cat5 and attach it to the steel cable so you can see what you're dealing with.

    Extension Recommendations

I gotta say that knurling looks sweet. Only have proto 3/8 extensions so when money allows I'll have to go Mac for my 1/2 inch extensions.
