New to the Forum--Check out my small tool collection!

Welcome aboard. The only thing I really missed on your tool layout was at least a 3# heavy hammer. That is a must for things that don't want to be repaired. I don't smash stuff myself, but it would add some weight to your baggage....TIM

    Compressor Threw A Rod.

By the last picture, be sure not to overload the older black supply tank. What would be worse than a thrown rod, would be a blown tank into the side of the parked Vette. I am a former owner of 64 Vette roadster, wish I still had it.

    Air Impact Wrench/ GUN

I got a IR 231 from Amazon just yesterday, still in the kitchen. Its on sale now for about $108. Looks like a great buy. It will replace a 40 year old CP "Little Giant" that still is tough, just a little weaker. I'll be 64 next month and I needed a new tool.

Should I buy this Welder for $100

I never was a pretty welder, but got by. The secret is in having "fresh" rods and always keeping them dry for the best service. I got to do better several years ago when I got a new Lincoln Wirematic just before I retired.

    Stick Welder Question

I'm just a hooby welder and have three machines now. I enjoy the Lincon wire welder best but on the stick side, the "freshest" rods that you can use make the biggest difference.

Picked up an older Snap On hand tool box today at the flea.

I got one like it fifty years ago and it was old when I got it. It was painted gray and is now red. It has a leather top handle and two drawers, tray in the top and slide tray in the bottom drawer. The top drawer is divided into four parts. I use it as a carry around road box and it takes...

$15 Flea Snap-On toolbox! Check it out!

Super Box, Good Deal! I got one 50 years ago when I was 16 just like its style. I use it as my road box. It was "old" when I got it and has a leather wraped top handle and also a slide tray that fits in the lower drawer. If I sold mine, I would have to get the $400 for it so at least I could...

How do you hook up this timing light?

I'm suprised that nobody said they kept an ice pick in their toolbox as standard equiptment as a mate to the timing light and you just jobe into edge of the #1 plug boot or into the distributor cap position #1. I have an old neon, Sun, and SO and never had an induction model. I quit wrenching...
