hmmm, I didn't think of that. I LIKE IT! I will have to widen the base tho, it is VERY top heavy as it is now. I can't wait to try it out :lol_hitti  Thanks, milt. Yes I was curious what the "W" stands for:beer: Not that it matters, I'm gonna keep it, if it works as good as it looks.

    Help identify this 4' brake

I just drug this 4' brake and a Bandbridge 712 bandsaw home. It looks like the saw is junk, but the brake seems nice. Can anyone I.D. the thing? I don't recognise the logo and have not found a tag on it. I would like to know something about it, so i can figure out if it's worth bolting...

Opinions on used ESAB PCM-875 plasma

I've been looking for a plasma for a while, $900 obo He says it is a 2006 and has hobby use only. It looks new in the pictures, but it's not the current design. I also will use it as a hobby unit for body work/light fabrication. I think I'm gonna make an offer.......Any bad tales out there?

(Home) Sewer Insurance / Collapsed - failed pipes

I was forced to hook up to city sewer in Indy a few years ago. It cost less than $6000, that included the "connection fee" I think that was 2000-2500:mad: The septic was in the back, requiring a trench 2/3 around my house, and under a 30" drain pipe that they didn't notice coming out into the...

What did you do "TO" your garage today?

Re: What did you do to your garage today? I put my shelving on stilts. It was raining out so I didn't paint them. Pretty low on the cool factor, but I need the floor space.

Anyone built or bought the 2 story shed/barn from Home Depot?

build it! I built a 20x12 with a loft. I opted to leave a small section of 2nd floor out. I use a step ladder to access when needed. no outside access or stairs required. I think I spent $3200 including a new framing nailer and small compressor to run it. It holds a lot of stuff (keeps it...

    Price for used i-beams?

thanks Charles Yes these were upright supports. The one I bought is 17'. I plan on cutting it down to 12' for a gantry. I am positive it will support any of my needs, I have seen posts @ practical machinist claiming a 4K lb limit @ 10'. I will never get close to that. as far as the long...

    Price for used i-beams?

I did a quick search, wasn't smart enough to find anything. I bought a used w8-18 today for $.25 per lb. It still has a couple brackets welded/bolted to it. they had 3 others (longer ones) that were "cleaned up" for $.35. just a few bolt holes in them Is this in the ballpark price wise? I'm...

    GJ inspired table/bench

Thanks for the comments guys! I don't think I'll have it ground flat. I live in a very rural area, for example, it's 44 miles to Lowes and 50 miles to the fab shop where I buy steel. I have no idea where to have it ground within 100 miles of here.:headscrat I've been thinking about the...
