    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

The ball joint press for 4x4 axles. (Jeep) At least in my case a big fail. First one I used bent so bad it wouldn't fit back in the case after two ball joints. Took it back and got another one to do the other side. It too bent but not as badly. I suspect they had a bad batch judging by some of...

    double deep garage

I have a tandem garage too. When we added on a couple years back, I had to go deep due to clearance issues on my lot. Our house is a bi-level set in a hill. I had nowhere else to go but out the front. About half is in ground. No attic in mine, due to master suite above. (No lift for me dammit)...

When your done, you will forever have something unique in your shop AND you will always have the boys there to 'lend Dad a HAND'! :lol_hitti That idea kinda reminded me of something Smokey Yunick did on one of his Indy cars. The rules said the cars had to have 'bumpers', so he traced his sons...

Ideas for key storage in garage

I made one out of an old horn ring from a 55 Tbird I'm working on. I couldn't stand the thought of tossing it.

    homemade funnel holder??

I made this one a while back after seeing sombody elses in a similar thread. It's mounted on a small door that goes to a storage area under my front porch. (my garage is under the house-bi/level) Conduit clamps on mine too. Gotta make one of those grease gun holders!

My 56 Ford Victoria Build Thread

I'll sure be watching this one. The 56 Victoria has always been a favorite of mine. My grandpa had one when I was little. (like the green & white one) Man that trans tunnel was something else. At least it paid off with a couple of good finds. They sure didn't take any chances with the tunnel...

1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted)

Wow, I'm swapping a 64 cab onto a 79 4x4 frame and I thought that was a big deal cause I had to move a couple of things. Geeze, this is amazing. I'm subscribed and will sure be following this one. I sure hope when you get it done you'll try and bring it to the F-100 Nats in Pigeon Forge. The...

    E-tek Restorations: PROJECT THREAD

Re: E-tek Resto's 56 Chevy Truck Hi Ed- The way that was torn, I'd say it was a left over from a previous repair. Appears to have been made with an air chisel, then looks like somebody made a "pull" with that hole and just left it since it was hidden behind the fender. (great time saver, huh?)...

    DF T1-11 Siding Staining

I've had it on my house in central Indiana since we built in 1977. I've restained the house twice up thru 2006 when we added on. (same siding on addition) We changed house colors and restained whole house then. The initial staining DID take a lot more material, but after that it's not as...

    Lateral file cabinet revamp?

I've got some similar cabinets (to a couple post back) that origianlly went in office cubicles. Made brackets and mounted them to the wall. My garage is under the house, so I have a low overhead on one side due to the HVAC ducting. This isn't the best pic, but only one I have handy. This was...
